Rise Cafe — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

After a busy weekend of moving into a new apartment in the downtown area I decided to walk to Rise Cafe for some breakfast. Located across from the City Rescue Mission, Rise Cafe is a great way to eat delicious food and always give back to those in need. I got the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant with cold brew and a blueberry muffin for my sweet tooth. The croissant was light and flakey with a liberal helping of butter layered on. The cold brew helped me wash it down. Then came surprise of the blueberry muffin. Soft and moist with fresh blueberries and icing on top. When ordering you have the option to donate in the same spot you would put a tip. They also have a little sign at most of the tables that have QR codes in order for you to find information about City Rescue Mission. All I wanted was a great cup of coffee...I found that and so much more.

First of all, the coffee. Come here for that. It's locally sourced and the flavor is amazing. You can even buy bags to take home.

I also ordered a bacon egg sandwich which was made to order, fresh, hot and amazing.

But what really captured my attention was the little qr code placard sitting in front of me as I ate. I saw that there were different stories on each table and when I clicked, I came to find out that this restaurant is a nonprofit, and that my tip was going to be donated to help homeless people who were evident all around me.

Really adorable cafe and their mission is to give back to the community and help build lives! The Turkey Gouda wrap was delightful and my soup was delicious! I also enjoyed my sweet tea. It's a small building but they have a good amount of seating on the inside as well as a customer bathroom. There are booths & tables, and places to plug in a laptop to work remote. The staff was so friendly and excited we stopped by. Please visit and support them. They are not open on the weekends but they have a breakfast and lunch menu...
