Donut Den — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

I was driving along and decided donuts sounded good but the line at the big box shop was around the building and then I remembered this shop just reopened lately and boy! Am I glad I did. I actually despise the big box store but I go there because until now, they have been my only source for my favorite donut, which is the French Cruller. Well, 8 Donut has them! I was very pleasantly surprised to see and they also have the amazingly delicious Cronuts! This “holey”(really going for the pun here…lol) union of croissant and glazed donut is enough of a reason why this is my go-to shop now, and them having crullers really locked it in for me but what absolutely sealed the deal was the wonderful lady running the shop. Very nice and kind and she gifted me a blueberry cake ( how did she know this is also a long time fave of mine? LOL!) “on the house” as she said. Overpriced, terrible quality. This was $11. Before I started selecting donuts, I let her know I wanted a half-dozen. That typically let's people know you're expecting the deal of it being a bundle. When my daughter selected a long john and the woman picked it up right away, I double-checked by asking "does this count as part of the half-dozen?" so I could let my daughter down gently if needed, and she said yes. Then she put in each donut as a separate item. I still bought them because my daughter had her heart set on donuts and we had things to do. At least she was kind enough to give my daughter a small bag of "free" donut holes, which made the price a marginal amount better. But I might as well have driven to OKC Hurts and gotten a half-dozen of giant, deluxe donuts for a little bit more. My husband just got off of shift from work this morning and stopped and got my daughter and I donuts & milk before we had to go to work and school. I went to open the strawberry milk and noticed it was chunky so I checked the date and it had expired over a month ago. I proceeded to check the other one and same thing, expired. I called them just to let them know so they could remove them so nobody would get sick.
