Only thing good was the eggs and that was suspect. This place is an egregious example of cross contamination. I waited 7 minutes to sit at the counter. I then waited another 3 for them to come clean off the counter. Another 5 to bring me a water. 3 minutes later I got some coffee. I sat patiently and 2 minutes later the server came to take my order. She was busy but very short with my. After such a ling wait I thought I deserved a little consideration. I asked about the breakfast combo with eggs, pancakes and bacon. I asked if they had turkey sausage and if it was cooked on the same grill as pork. She said to me that she could come back when I was ready. I said, I am ready I just had a question...never mind can i just get the combo with no meat?..."i will have to charge you ala carte. Im like huh??!...whatever, fine. I would like 3 eggs scrambled and the pancakes. She leaves and I sat and watched the kitchen. There were multiple grills. One was hashbrowns, one was pancakes, one was eggs and one seemed like potpourri. I watched as the hashbrown guy worked. He had on blue latex gloves. As he was cooking the hashbrowns i noticed he had a hamburger on the grill with the potatoes. Im thinking, im glad i didnt order hashbrowns. He then flips the burger and uses the same spatula to start chopping the hashbrowns...ewwww He then uses the same gloves and grabs a raw hamburger patty and puts another burger on the grill. He then uses the same gloves to grab a handful of raw potatoes and put them on the grill. Just prior, he used the same spatula to spread the butter on the grill. He then goes around the corner grabs a Styrofoam cup and fill it with ice from the ice bin....wait for it...with those SAME GLOVES...has a drink and then grabs something to nibble on and he sits there chewing for a moment. He then goes over to the pancake grill and flips the cakes and puts them on a plate. He them straightens them out with those SAME GLOVES. I then look over and the egg guy is using his SAME PAIR OF GLOVES to grab the stack of bacon they cooked to put in a pan. He then uses those SAME GLOVES to go back over and cook the eggs. There is more but Im tired of typing. This is a systemic problem in food service. The gloves are there to PROTECT OUR FOOD, NOT THE EMPLOYEES HANDS!! Also, some of us do not eat pork or beef, some no meat at all. You can't represent ANYTHING as vegan or vegetarian when you prepare food like that. You sure as heck can't serve veggies, turkey, fish or chicken cooked in pork or beef grease and represent that as anything more than cross contaminated grossness. Sad....lastly, the manager was actually my server and had no interest in hearing me. My pancakes were also undercooked and instead of speaking with me, she just took my plate and said "have a nice day" and threw away the check. I would have gladly paid for...
Read moreThis was my first time at this location. I've been to many locations in the OKC Metro. I've never received such poor service. I asked for coffee and water when my server greeted me and gave her my order. Leslie brought my coffee and water. I asked for creamer. I had waited almost 10 min. I looked around for Leslie and didn't see her. Then I decided to ask someone else for creamer and utensils. My order was simple oatmeal and raisin toast. It came to me luke warm to cold. I asked for butter, when I added the butter to my oatmeal it wouldn't even melt. At.that point I wasn't going to eat it. I would've taken another bowl but Leslie never came back to check on me to see if everything was alright. I had to tell another server that kindly refreshed my coffee and she let Leslie know. Leslie did come to my table a few minutes later and asked if everything was OK. I told her the oatmeal is cold and won't even melt the butter. I told her I didn't want it. She said, you don't want another one? I was almost done with my toast so I told her no. She had an opportunity to give an apology then and when I paid my ticket. I would've tipped her but she didn't feel the need to apologize for her neglect and her customer's experience. That is the first time for me to not tip my server. Even if service isn't the best I will tip but I didn't feel she cared at all so why should I and didn't tip. Please help Leslie become a better server. All of the other servers we're doing a great job and I wished I would've had...
Read moreRegrettably, my experience at Jimmy Eggs left much to be desired, and I find it challenging to express my dissatisfaction without appearing discourteous. I would advise skipping this establishment and seeking alternative options such as Waffle House or Denny's, where the likelihood of enjoying a more satisfactory meal is considerably higher.
Despite visiting Jimmy Eggs on the recommendation of others, our high expectations were quickly dashed. While minor imperfections like tears in the booth upholstery can be overlooked when the food exceeds expectations, in this case, such shortcomings were unfortunately coupled with a subpar culinary experience.
The wait staff appeared to be more engrossed in casual banter than adequately preparing for the breakfast rush, which inevitably affected the quality of service provided. Moreover, the state of the bathroom facilities was far from ideal, even though we arrived at the restaurant's opening. The men's restroom lacked hand soap, a significant violation of food safety standards and a cause for concern.
In conclusion, our visit to Jimmy Eggs proved to be a disappointing one, particularly after enduring the fatigue of a 24-hour road trip. I cannot in good conscience endorse this establishment, as it fell short of the expected standards in both food quality and service. Instead, I would recommend exploring other dining options that are more likely to provide a more satisfying and enjoyable experience for weary travelers...
