I’ve been visiting this restaurant for a decade and more, watching the owner and her two daughters work since I was a child. But after my recent experience, I will never be coming back.

The manager decided to raise the lunch prices to dinner prices while I was eating, without informing me. I was not there long. My waitress seemed to express sympathy, saying it was not in her control. When I expressed my frustration about this unexpected upcharge, the manager not only refused to address my concerns but also insulted me by mocking our financial situation. After I voiced my displeasure saying i may never come back, she responded with, “pay the lunch price then and never come back.”

Out of sheer frustration, we also mentioned that the owner was being a cheapskate. Instead of addressing our concerns professionally, she retaliated by calling us cheapskates for not wanting to or affording to pay the sudden price hike. I would have gladly paid the dinner price had I been notified in advance, or I would have left without dining there at all and keeping the lunch price. Instead, we were forced into an unfair situation.

This experience has left me with no choice but to give this restaurant a 1-star review. The manager telling us to never come back sparked a deep distrust after this decade. The disrespect shown to a long-time customer, combined with the predatory price increase without any prior warning, is utterly unacceptable. The unprofessionalism displayed by the manager has left me deeply disappointed, and I can no longer recommend this establishment to anyone.
