What a fantastic find following a day exploring Myriad Botanic Garden and the Oklahoma City National Museum and Memorial! We searched for a restaurant nearby, and are so pleased with our decision to dine here. We were greeted and seated immediately on a Sunday evening around 5 pm. The restaurant is elegant, yet very comfortable, the table settings very esthetically pleasing. The kitchen is very visible, with seating available at the sushi bar itself; we had a six-year old with us and were given a very comfortable booth. Shaeona was our server - extremely attentive, checking in with us throughout our dining experience, and a delight in the way she treated my little grandson! The menu is easy to understand with respect as to what various items have in their making. We ordered gyoza, a California roll, a Shaggy roll, a Dancing Eel roll, a Yellowtail roll, and for dessert - a piece of tempura cheesecake! We enjoyed grape and a melon Japanese sodas, and my grandson had a blueberry lemonade. The tableware is beautiful in its simplicity and earth-tone colors, every detail seems to have been thoughtfully chosen, right down to the wooden chopsticks. The fish in the sushi is FRESH! Shae explained it's flown in fresh straight from Japan twice a week, along with their Wagyu beef - you can tell it isn't thawed from frozen! The gyoza were perfectly cooked tasty packets of flavor, enhanced even more by a flavorful dipping sauce. The tempura cheesecake is a "must try" when you're dining here - one piece is big enough for two people to share...but you're probably going to want your OWN piece! Having been open almost three months, I have a good feeling that this place has it "dialed in" already - the entire meal and experience, from start to finish, was an absolute solid 10 for us - too bad Google will only allow me to give 5 stars.... Check this place out - you won't be disappointed -...
Read moreLovely new midtown okc “neighborhood” sushi / ramen spot showing great potential. Nice casual, very friendly vibe. Good causual date spot. (There’s also a small room seating 4-6 booths for more intimate dates too.) Sushi (I didn’t have) but saw girls-night out table next door order, looked AMAZING!! I hade the chicken ramen: chicken clearly sliced from fresh roasted chicken breast & the duck slices—in the role of pork belly— a REVELATION!!! Cooked with soy, honey & ginger, and left with fat on (a la pork belly), elevated an ordinary ramen to pure pleasure. (I order an extra side or duck to bring home for my leftovers!) I’ve yet to try any of their pork or beef— will def be going back to work my way thru their menu. They’ve only been open a month, they’re CLEARLY gonna be one of those “best kept secret” places!! (Except they deserve...
Read moreOrdered door dash since this place had high reviews on Google. I'm shocked at how horrible the food tastes and what you get for cost.
The amount you pay here is NOT worth what you get at all. Yikes!
I paid double what I've paid for tuna tataki elsewhere and got only five measly pieces of fish and a pittance of shredded radish to go with it. Taste was less than stellar for the Pepper Tuna Tataki which tasted like the fish was bad and I couldn't eat it.
Over $5 for a steam bun that's tiny and sun par in flavor.
The Famous Nazo was more raw than advertised and disgusting in taste so couldn't finish that either. The Alaska Roll was not worth the cost paid either and wasn't rolled properly and made a huge mess when trying to eat. I wouldn't buy from here again. You'd be insane to think any of what I got...
