We really had fun here, and played three rooms with this company in total.
This location specifically has its own parking lot which makes things easier compared to their other location in midtown.
At the time of this writing (November 2024) this location only had one escape room (the other had four but will close soon) but will expand to host more. The only room available is scifi-themed - trying to fix time travel gone wrong.
What stands out the most is how strongly these rooms adhere to their theme. We played two other rooms with the same company and all were very distinct, their puzzles and ambiance matched their lore. The puzzles in this one were more technical. (Don't worry, they're still clearly puzzles in the first place.)
The intro given by the owner was a bit too fast and hence we had a bit of trouble asking for help later. The room is new and when comparing the other rooms we played, it lacked a clear way to ask for and receive clues. In midtown you could ring a bell and get to see clues on a screen. Here you had to shout. That just didn't work as well. I'm sure this will be remedied soon, though! (Maybe make it a buzzer that plays a sound also clearly audible in the room? Would fit the theme, after all.)
The puzzles themselves were great, though one was a bit too involved, requiring finding a small part of the information given and a few too many hoops to find the solution. Asking for a clue greatly simplified this.
Another, more technical puzzle involved several senses and was probably the best escape puzzle I have played so far. Finding the solution was so utterly satisfying!
We narrowly failed the room but were really close. A bigger group might have fared better there in the "finale." Having only two people made this more challenging.
We had a chat with the owner after and he really gave my son the rundown how he had designed the room. This is something my son is really into, so for us that was a huge bonus!
There was a bit of a multimedia tie-in before and after and it was funny. Knowing that there will be a theme connecting the rooms in the story arc makes me excited for further rooms at this location, and I hope another one will be available when I come back to the area in 2025 because I really want to do...

I recently gave baker street another try, this experience was much much better than the past one. We played Everest and it was a pretty fun game. We escaped with almost 20 minutes left using no clues, but we had a really great time. Jimmy was a great guide and was very friendly and apologized for our past experience.
Original Review:
Aggravated is an understatement. First, we get there 15 minutes early as stated when you book, and we sit in the lobby not greeted until game time. Then during the game, We spent 17 minutes on a puzzle we had already done because we asked for a clue and he sent us back to that puzzle. We redo the puzzle about 10 times thinking maybe we didn't do it correctly and what we got was received from a different puzzle but nothing new happens. So we ask for another clue, he dumbs the puzzle down for us and again we redo it another 10 times! Nothing. After that we ask for our last clue to be sent to a different puzzle. I ask at the end if that puzzle opened what we thought it had only for confirmation that he had us wasting time. It was a cabinet that opened and the item we received we sat on a big desk in the middle of the room. How did he not see the item or open cabinet on the camera??? For us to be consoled when we lose with "you guys were so close". When called on his mistake all we get is an "I'm so sorry about that". It's so frustrating to pay for a bad experience. I personally am a game master at a very high quality escape room so it's so aggravating to know that experiences like this are being provided and ruining the idea of...
Read moreI visited recently with a corporate group and we played "A Study in Yellow," which has a Lovecraft theme. Overall, it was a fantastic experience! Rookies to escape rooms will enjoy a well-crafted room while veterans will have a challenging experience.
The decor was superb. Baker Street Escapes did an excellent job with the decorations and lighting, both inside the room and within the lobby/waiting areas. The room evoked an eerie feeling, which is perfect for the supernatural horror of Lovecraft. This is definitely a great room if you're looking for immersion!
The room itself was challenging. I've played a half dozen escape rooms over the last five years and this one was among the hardest. The puzzles had a great mix of conventional and unconventional challenges (read: you're not just finding keys and opening combination locks). My team of mostly rookies made it to the last few puzzles before time expired. I would expect a team of veterans to complete the room, but they may struggle with time if they get stuck on one of the more unconventional puzzles.
My critiques are relatively minor. We could hear the introductory video for the group after us, and it was both distracting and impacted the immersion (albeit easy to tune out). There was also one particular puzzle that I think needed a sound effect when completed. Again, these are MINOR critiques. I've played rooms that were incorrectly set up or had locks/puzzle props that did not activate when solved. Baker Street had none of these issues and I look forward to returning in the...
