*Atmosphere = Manager
I entered the restaurant at 8:00 pm to relax and watch the Thunder game. The restaurant was extremely cold. I sat at the bar and then moved to the other side of the bar to get away from the cold air blowing down. I finally asked the server assistant if he could ask for air conditioning be adjusted. He reported back to me that he had told the manager. I could see the manager wearing. what appeared to be a long sleeve wool sweater. There was no urgency on her part to correct the situation or communicate with me. She sure had time to be on her phone and watch segments of the game. She happened to walk by and I stopped her to inquire if the air had been adjusted. She said yes, but followed up by giving me a list of reasons it was still cold. Very condescending. She walked off and then a very short time later she is enjoying a dining experience and paying little, if any attention to the guests in the restaurant. Honestly, the manager should learn from the server assistant about professionalism. He did his tasks, proficiently, and when he was waiting he stood at attention observing when his next task presented itself. He certainly wasn’t guessing to his phone at all. I side tipped him. Job well done! In wrapping things up, I left before the end of the game, it was not enjoyable, and still cold. I would have ordered two more drinks and dessert, but viewing the manager eating, and socialising with team members as well as being on her phone in the view of all guests, was unprofessional, and showed her lack of caring. She never came back to check out if I was satisfied, nor did she ever do a table touch in the dinning room. I was at your expressway location on Monday and had a wonderful experience. I won’t be back to Memorial The food was excellent. Salad cold and crisp, hot wings, Hot and delicious. Drinks were...
Read moreThis location has disappointed me for the last time. We had a party of five. #1.Tried to order a kids meal and was told that they ran out of french fries. Ok we can work with that #2 we tried ro order three, 3 course meal deals. We were informed that they did not have the cheese cake available (ran out). So we asked to get the Chocolate Thunder from Downunder pictured on the menu advertisement. We were told there would be a upcharge per the manager. Asked to talk to the manager. #3 Explained to the manager that since they couldn't provide the desert we thought that the the chocolate cake should be substituted. He said "We don't give away product". I asked, if they couldn't sub at no additional cost, then why did they advertise a 3 course meal? He informed us it was still a good deal with 2 courses. I then asked if he thought a $3 upcharge was worth losing a party of five that would have spent over $200 tonight. He then explained that he is short handed, kitchen wasn't able to keep up and he could not "give away any product". To top it all off as we walked out after this conversation, we never saw our drinks. When this location opened it was awesome but has steadly gone downhill. Just down the road is a Texaa Roadhouse that is superior in every way. I believe I am done with the Outback unless something is done to revitalize this once great chain. As an executive with several thousand employees I can state with confidence that this store is lacking...
Read moreWe had gone out to eat with my daughter and her family to celebrate my husband’s birthday. He has missed eating at Outback since the one in Edmond closed. So, when given a choice where he wanted to go, he picked Outback. What a huge mistake! Our two little grandkids ordered the steak medium, I ordered the filet medium well after being told they couldn’t cook it medium plus, and my husband ordered the prime rib, his favorite! Our waitress came back later and said they didn’t have any more of the prime rib, so he ordered a rib eye, medium. When our food came, my filet was well down, almost charred, and tough as a boot. I had ordered mashed potatoes as one of my sides and received a small portion of those. My husband got his steak which was cooked well done, and was told by our waitress later that they had found some prime rib for him and that’s what he had been served. He said he couldn’t tell if it was a prime rib or ribeye because it had been cooked so long. Our grandkids steaks were so red when they cut into them, the juice that ran out on the plate was bloody. So, their Dad traded steaks with them and they shared his. The whole meal was awful and certainly not something you’d expect from a nice Steakhouse. Needless to say, we won’t be back as Outback was never one of my favorites and this did it as far as my husband is concerned. I just hated it that it was his birthday celebration, but it can’t be helped. You...
