I have been to this location probably more than 40 times and come in usually once or twice every week or so. Signed for rewards and have been a loyal customer. The last three time I have been there, it has been a terrible experience in terms of customer service and rudeness of the employees. Not all employees are included in this bucket but ones that were originally serving me were. 1st time, they kept not listening to the order detail and kept doing what they wanted. I looked around and saw one of the employees also notice and took over and made a fresh pizza. Second time, the person was rushed and wouldn't listen to the order and I made sure to subtly hinted that she should slow down and listen to what was being said. She was passive aggressive the entire time the order was being placed after that. Third, which was today, walked in and was all fine until the ordering portion came. The employee serving me (i think her name is Brinda or Breida) asked what kind of sauce and I told her a mixture of pesto and white sauce. Well she put half of a normal serving of the mixture and I asked if she could add more. She sighed and then proceeded to scoop a double portion of pesto and plop it on there in a passive aggressive manner without looking or talking to me at all. I made sure to address that it was too much to which she proceeded to scoop the MIXTURE (white sauce included not just the pesto) to the pesto container. I guess too bad for people that may be allergic to ingredients in the white sauce. They can take it up with the hospital if they have a reaction i guess.
Another employee noticed this absolutely unacceptable behavior and looked appalled as well. I looked at him and he suggested to me if I would like to start with another pizza crust and go through to which I responded in the affirmative. He told the lady that he is going to take over (he realized I didnt want to work with her anymore I guess) and kicked her out of the assembling station. I guess as a badge of merit, she smiled and thanked him for taking over as if she was proud of her behavior not realizing that it was an indictment on how she performed her job and her attitude. Absolutely, do not know what she did after, neither did I care. Pizza was then made perfectly made by the other employee with a great level of customer service. (Thank you!!) The first two times, I did not leave a negative review as I understand that sometimes the experiences may turn out bad while mostly being great especially at fast casual food chain like blaze. Those were considered isolated incidents and decided not to affect the reputation of a good business.
However, now it is becoming a trend and have to report it. All three times my girlfriend was with me and which puts her in uncomfortable position and does not feel like the restaurant cares about their customer and now has refused go there anymore.
As a business you have to realize that there are many competitors trying to eat away your pie of business in this extremely congested food space and now also in this pizza based fast casual restaurants. I can name revolve pizza (local to OKC), pie five and mod pizza as a few of your competitors I have tried and like. The reason I keep coming back is the rewards I have earned, the food is good and proximtely (about 1 mile closer)
You have to understand that customer acquisition costs are high in this space and you want to establish a loyal customer base to sustainably grow your business rather than relying on churn of customer that you think exists infinitely in a market. For loyal customer, you have to consistently provide great service to keep them coming back. So with the long essay, I guess I want to summarize the action point for this OKC memorial rd location blaze pizza:
-When you hire people, closely assess their personality and make a judgement if they are fit for front line customer service. -Train the personnel to establish the customer service principles for blaze pizza Ensure that as store management and employee you understand that you are face of...
Read moreI feel like my experience this day for this place was way under par. It just was not like my last trip to this place
When I arrived, We moved down the line to look at the ingredients and start ordering, not knowing we should start our order with the busy looking lady making dough. She then took the next person's order without them asking.
We asked for a build your own pizza menu. She pointed to an empty space that should have held the menus, but she too noticed the spot was empty. She looked around herself and picked up a bent pizza sauce covered menu then handed it to us.
We looked at each other, and I knew what that look meant; we both hoped that the pizza was better than the service we've gotten thus far. I think it was worth the risk, though, as I have been craving fire cooked pizza.
We then looked over the menu as we needed to step back as far as we could in this small space between the half wall and pizza bar because the people that she took ahead of us now needed to pass us.
We chose the 5 for 35 and she asked what five things we wanted to order. They were very sloppy with the toppings on our three pizzas as they rushed us through like cattle. As we're still naming toppings, she throws our pizza into the oven while asking if we'd like more toppings.. We ask for meatballs and without asking what kind, she throws sausage (which causes us heartburn) on top while it is in the oven.
Now that we're not even getting the all the toppings we wanted, or even getting much of a chance to look at all the toppings, we unwanted customers are rushed to the register as we're asked what suace we'd like on top of our obviously undercooked pizza.
While trying to pay and get my drink cups, I ended up having to argue with the girl that i don't want soggy pizza. I want to put the sauce on the side instead of on top, but she said extra sauce costs extra.. it isn't extra sauce, it's simply put on the side instead of on top.
We went back to the table to try to eat, but the pizzas were undercooked. We asked them to remake it, but they opted for reheating it with the paper under it.. by the time we got it back, it was pretty mangled because she kept moving it around in the oven and putting the toppings back on top of it when they slid off the floppy pizza.
The pesto garlic bread sticks had no pesto, and when i asked they gave us a cup (for no extra cost) and said that was optional.. umm, that's why i asked for it instead of cheesy bread.
The 5 for 35 and two drinks its almost 45 dollars, but it didn't feel like a $45 experience.
Mazaa is what she said he name was. She was very rude and argumentative.

Read moreUpdate After sharing my experience with the restaurant they immediately apologized for my previous experience. I received a free 11' pizza as well for my trouble and gave the store another shot. Very satisfied with the pizza! Complete 360 from previously. No burnt crust, and a much fuller pizza. The atmosphere was much more friendly and the order was very timely done. Worth a second chance.
Previous review The first time we went here it was great. The employees were fun and helpful since we had never been here and weren't sure what or how to order. The pizza was great but the pesto cheesy bread was sub par. This review is sparked by my recent visit. Ordered online and went to pick up in store. This location has temporary hours but they weren't reflected on the online store hours or the ordering. So my order was set to be ready at 12, an hour after they opened I thought. Turns out they opened at 12, so my order was not ready. The store appeared it hadn't been swept or cleaned, likely due to having orders before they open. Staff behind the counter acted annoyed I was there and we're not friendly, a striking contrast to our first visit. Honestly I could understand the first few points but this review is really due to the food. It was burnt. All of it. The bottoms were completely black and inedible, and I didn't realize this until I got home. I had to scrape the toppings off and eat them. Also once again the cheesy bread was a huge letdown. Not cheesy, it was more like bread with cheese sprinkled on top, and even that was super inconsistent where you were basically just eating bread at times. Overall highly disappointed with this store and visit. I loved my first experience but this one is likely the last unless...
