Let me start with this used to be our favorite s&b restuarant. The last few times we've been in its gone down hill. Yesterday was my final visit though. We ordered our appetizer and when it came out I had forgotten to ask for ranch, so I did as we received it. No big deal. Five minutes later after watching the waitress, Tammy (Tambourine), stand in the back talking, my husband got up and asked her for it. He also happened to over hear her telling the manager and other servers that we were "already being needy." He chose not to say anything. When our food came out, my slider had a tomato, which I asked for no tomato, and one tiny slice of avacodo. Neither were a big deal to me. I just asked for more avacodo and took the tomato off. But then when I opened up the burger the tiny little patty didn't even cover 2/3 of the slider bun. The waiteress informed me that the manager had made the burger, and asked if we wanted another one. At this point I was starving so I told her just to let him see it, but I would just go ahead and eat it. She brought my food back immediately and rudely told me, "I showed him." The manager later came to our table and told me the patties were measured out and he thought maybe the cook had just separated it poorly. At this point I'm confused about who made it, as we've been watching him cook in the back. I also always order the same thing here, I know that what I got wasn't the portioned 3oz. The manager was nice enough, but offered no real solution. In addition to all the issues with the food, both of our plates were cold when they came out, and this wasn't a busy time of day. Each server had maybe four tables. The waitress came by one last time dropped the check off and was caddy. We waited ten minutes for her to come get our payment. She never did. We had to ask another server to take our check. Our waitress finally brought my card back. I tried to tell her at this point that in the future she needed to be more professional and watch what she says about customers in a public place. She started yelling at me and tried to turn the statement on me. Needless to say, no one said anything to her about her behavior, including the manager who was watching in the back. I chose not to continue to try to express my disappointment, and instead we just left. I am severely disappointed in not only the quality of food, but the staff's behavior, and the lack of management intervention. We will not be returning to this s&b ever again, and are still deciding whether to ever go to another...
Read moreBeen here a few times over the years and usually have a good experience. This time on 2/21/21 was different
Walked in and there were no clean tables so I sat at the closest cleanest looking one. I ordered an F5, and was told they were out. Ordered a DNR instead, it’s the last of the keg so it was about 3/4 of a beer. Tasted it and it was super flat. I set it at the end of table and waited to address my server about it and get a Bloody Mary instead. Waited so long that I ended up just gagging it down and just accepting it hoping that maybe I wouldn’t have to it full price for the 3/4 of a decently expensive beer, hoping the burgers I ordered would save the experience. But as a service industry bartender myself I understand not being able to comp alcohol
I ordered a fatty slider and a Frenchman slider with a side of cheese cubes. When I got my food I had a side of fries instead of the cheese cubes and my Frenchman was replaced by a burger with green chili’s on it. I sent it back and waited another ten minutes for the replacement while my date ate alone. Meanwhile I glanced around at people standing around while many tables weren’t bussed and the floor def needed a sweep
My food also wasn’t ran to me by a manager, which I was hoping would atleast acknowledge my poor experience and when I got the check my date was so ready to leave that she just placed her card down. I trusted maybe an appetizer would be comped or something but no. I had an $80 tab. And my credit card receipt didn’t even have the itemized receipt with it to look over.
I sure hope S&B’s will make this right somehow so I can continue to visit...
