Don't waste your time. Ordered rice hulls online on May 27th. Emailed them on June 6th for an order status. No response. Emailed again on the 9th and they responded saying that they didn't have them in stock and they could either refund me or send them after they received them on the 14th. (Not sure how they were out of stock when their site showed them in stock and allowed me to order them.) Nevertheless , I still needed them so I asked that they still send them. After, again, not hearing from them I emailed on the 19th. Again no response. Finally I called on the 21st requesting a refund at which point they issued a refund. The person on the phone was short and offered no apology for not delivering on the order or wasting my time. Terrible customer service. Workers are fairly knowledgeable. I rate a two because the soil they sold me was too "hot". I came to tell them about this ONLY after I had heard other people say the EXACT same thing. I figured maybe I messed up somewhere yet other people are having the same issues. After about 10 minutes of them trying to blame me for this issues the soil ultimately caused, they finally admitted I should have been told the soil wasnt ready. I was informed that I should have been told to let the soil sit for AT LEAST 10 days but was not given this information at the time i bought the soil. I dont understand selling soil that is supposed to be "no till" but not informing customers that "hey, might want to let this finish cooking before you use it" i.e. ITS NOT READY. Currently trying out Redbuds’ soil for the first time. I’ve had several grows but am still a relative beginner. I liked the idea of the living soil and will be using their in house soil and nutrients. First impressions of the store were nice. Two different days had totally different folks and they all had good advice and we’re able to answer all of my questions. Price wise, the soil is a little more expensive than fox farms ocean forest, but I’m willing to see how the results stack up with this type of soil.
