Not including the sketchy location and police searching cars in the parking lot; we had the miserable experience of being served by Cora.
To start Waffle House has no salad option. So initially I passed on ordering.
However, the pork chops sounded good so I decided to add a meal to our tables order.
Unfortunately Cora took a smoke break while we were waiting on our food, so I asked the red bearded waiter who was tatted from wrists to neck if I could add an order of pork chops to my order. He informed me that Waffle House was out of pork chops, so I asked him if I could get a discount on a sirloin since what I wanted was not available? He said that was up to the owner not him.
I asked to just add the sirloin to my order and he said no, he was not our server.
Please note, Cora was still on her obviously much needed smoke break, and when her nicotine fix was satisfied she came in cussing.
I asked our "server", Cora, if I could add a order to our ticket. She rudely informed me that I didn't want to order or eat. I notified her I had attempted to add an order to our ticket, and was refused.
The waiter proceeded too imply that I was a liar, while the customer he was serving, who witnessed the entire ordeal, just watched mouth open. I asked for a box and our ticket.
Cora went ahead and ignored me as she huffed and puffed behind the counter. And continued ignoring us.
Our party carried our plate to the register and once again requested a box and ticket.
A customer apologized to us for everything he witnessed, but never the staff.
Needless to say Cora's attitude never changed.
Sometimes there are people who are so miserable with their life that they make it a point to make everyone else miserable..... That is Cora.
Unfortunately, Cora chose a career in customer service when obviously she doesn't like the service industry or people.
She should definitely be working in a warehouse, far far away from people. Not casually ruining an already mediocre dining experience.
If zero stars were an option,...
Read moreWhere do I begin. First off maybe I shouldn't have went to this one. The service was below mediocre. We got the all star breakfast the eggs and hashbrowns came out and then 5 minutes later here comes the waffles and 30 mins later we had to ask for the side orders of bacon and sausage that was to come with the eggs and hashbrowns. The waitress was forgetful as hell. She never came to refill our drinks and then she brought the ticket way before we had finished our meal. They stuck and if I could have given no stars I would have. The bacon and the sausage was burnt. They never offered an apology for the wait. They never offered to adjust my ticket which was 35 bucks and it just makes me angry that they got mad at someone that had decided not pay for his food and left. The wait was ridiculous and they were not busy and I should have paid attention and left too. The scenery wasn't good either. Don't take your kids here as there was a truck stop and all you could see was homeless pool and women getting in and out of trucks. Don't go there. Bad business for real. Never again. Tinker diagonal was my first thought should have went there. Cindy was an employee there. They just stuck...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible, do not go here. My son and I wanted to visit a friend that is a fuel truck driver for Petro. We meet early around 6:30am in the parking lot of Waffle House on MLK. We get out and approached the door. It’s locked. I see workers on the inside, and nobody will make eye contact what so ever. My son ask daddy why won’t they let us in, I reply idk. So I check the door for store hours and Google. Both say they are open, I approach the doors again and a lady behind the counter looks at me this time and says no. I asked why, and she again says no. Frustrated and full of questions we leave. We go across the street to Petro and it was open arms and full service. I’d like to know why, but judging from how they treated us and the solider that tried to eat that morning as well. I don’t think that we will ever get a answer. After we finished eating and drove back by on the way to children’s hospital for my son’s chemotherapy treatment. We still didn’t see anyone inside. Later that night my son said he still wants Waffle House. I took him to one here in Norman. And they served us, good service and food. The one on MLK...
