My daughter chose Jack Rabbits for her bday dinner, while our stay at Okana. I made a reservation for 15 and we were accommodated. After we sat down and begin to order the waitress told me we could only split the bill up to three ways. Never mentioned when I made the reservation. We asked if they could hold our Nothing Bunt Cake and they told us no and gave us a chair to set it in. We were all set on the $36 dollar ribeye that had been advertised in every elevator the entire stay. The waitress told us that it was definitely not them and that we all had misread the sign. We all regrouped and decided on something else. Everything we ordered could not be substituted in any way so we were forced to keep sided we did not particularly want. When we asked why, we were met with an excuse of short staff and not enough food! The chicken seemed popular so a few of us went with that option. It came with 4 fingerling potatoes and literally a tbs of "mustard greens" which were terrible. A few opted for the chicken fried steak served with 3 tbs of Mashed potatoes and 8 green beans. The protein was a large portion but the sides were very skimpy. No accommodations were made to make my daughter's bday special. No dessert, no song, nothing. Safe to say, we won't be back!
Oh and I took a picture of the $36 ribeye at Jack Rabbits sign in the elevator,...
Read moreLets just say I wish they contracted with Pub W for the price . Pub W has amazing food and burgers, and it is not expensive even though they (pub w) could charge more...
The roasted brussel sprouts sounded amazing but were under cooked and terrible. (Try Pub Ws)
The fired mac and cheese was dry on the inside. No flavor.
The green beans were a little under cooked
The chicken fried steak was lacking crisp and flavor . Go to Brothers Hooligan in Tulsa if you want some good chicken fried steak for an amazing price and taste.
We hardly saw the waiter . Everything was so slow for the price . Again, the prices are super high. I have high expectations for this price. I would go to the pizza route if you go to Okana Resort because the food would come out quicker. My husband got a beer in a can that was supposed to be a draft beer, "apparently ". No glass was offered.
side note, the manager was great and compensated for the food . The bartender was also great. The atmosphere and style of the place was wonderful. I just can't recommend this place for the price ... I can get this food and even better from...
Read moreOverall Iâm thankful for the diversity on venue this place brings. Came to eat for my bday and quickly realized we should have considered a stay and play instead of dropping in only to eat.
Service at the bar was 100%, 10/10 highly recommend. Had the blackberry mojito and Jack rabbit tea. Both were mixed to excellence.
I got the salmon and bok choy, my date had the prime rib meal. Both looked amazing but taste was not what I expected. They were both slightly bland but salt and pepper helped bring more flavor out. The ginger butter sauce for the salmon was awesome, I ordered more on the side. I donât like skin on my fish, but thatâs a personal preference and I understand why they cooked it that way.
The bananas foster -crÚme brûlée combo was just ok, but again maybe personal preference since I make it at home often.
You have to walk through the resort to get to the restaurant and itâs def a resort atmosphere with everyone wearing swimsuits. Not a deal breaker but just keep in mind. We plan to look into a weekend stay with the kids to experience the main purpose...
