The store was busy because it was lunch time. Dakota was helping to train a new employee on the front register AND he was running the drive thru window. These two employees were OUTSTANDING! They were clearly doing the best they could. They were courteous and friendly to all guests. Because there was a wait I stepped away to get coffee & buy two addtl items from the adjacent Pilot. When I returned to Wendy’s, I politely asked Steven (because he was standing by the front counter), if there was an order behind the counter for “Candace”. He quickly looked at the counter then back at me and loudly told me “nope, guess somebody got it”. Although, he was very flippant and nasty, I said nothing. I just smiled and asked could he check again. He did a spin then Dakota appeared with my food & lemonade immediately. Steven then apparently proceeds to loudly lecture me about it not being their responsibility if someone takes my food. I told him that EVERY store across America does what Dakota did when customers are not at the counter for their food. Steven was useless behind the counter at the busiest time of day for a fast food restaurant. His snide remarks and hostile behavior will quickly ruin the morale of employees if he is left to fester. Conversely, employees like Dakota are what good teamwork & leadership look like. During the busiest part of the day, I observed Dakota calmly train another employee, work multiple zones, and still maintain a great attitude. Steven could take a lesson from Dakota! Kudos to Dakota and the new team member who took my order. Steven needs customer service retraining ASAP! I spoke with the Pilot store manager but, more needs to be done than a slap on the hand if Steven behaves this badly towards customers who are actually nice. Someone in the store said I could have made a scene and it would have been justified! I am glad I stayed calm but, I am still very...
Read moreStopped for quick meal while fueling up vehicle for long trip. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger combo. Waited 45 minutes for our food. On top of the 45 minute wait, we left due to driving cross country and was behind on time. We left and decided to eat in truck. On top of waiting for 45 minutes I also received the wrong sandwich. They gave me a spicy chicken sandwich of some sort. I was ok with it though due to being hungry and couldn't turn back to complain. Fries were not even lukewarm. Went to take a bite of the sandwich and felt how cold it was. Thought couldn't be that bad. Took a bite and as you can see by the pics the chicken was completely raw. Had I still been there I would have demanded a refund but again traveling cross country and this was a 1 time stop. Never again will I stop at the Wendy's inside the Pilot travel gas...
Read moreThey NEVER get your order right. Be prepared for burger made wrong, salad no tomatoes, old fries, and bad customer service. They really don’t care. Will give you something that they wouldn’t want to eat. If you don’t check your order be prepared to have to go back. But the way they act you wouldn’t to. Just rather throw it away. Bad customer service and food prep. I know people need their job but they are at the wrong place because customer service is really bad. Walk off without seeing if you need anything else like ketchup etc.. then get it and just say thank you BYE. Maybe it’s just night shift but I always have a bad experience coming here. The person before me when I came in was waiting and had to ask them “am I going to have to come back in here again”. Stuff you shouldn’t...
