Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Olathe

We had a very bad experience today at this store. My 13 Yr old son and I love to eat Jimmy Johns' sandwiches. We stopped in after having completed his doctor's visit for his type 1 diabetes. My son can research how many carbohydrates his sandwich has and dose his insulin accordingly...it's convenient. Normally the staff greets us upon entering the door and, this time, they all seemed to greet us nicely to wich our replies were happy and friendly. My 13 Yr old son went to place his order, begining with, "May I please order a..." (I'm very proud of him for using his good manners and demonstrating good character in public.) The kid asked for oregano on his sandwich and imediately this big guy, who was not taking the order, started yelling at my son telling him "You can't have that on that type of sansandwich!" Not wanting my son to experience some bully in his 30's yelling at him about oregano, I stepped between my son and the jerk behind the counter and asked if there was some kind of health issue or some way this kid could get his sandwich how he so politely asked for it. The guy got louder and said, "You can't have oregano on that sandwich!". I then asked him, "Are you telling a kid that he can't eat a sandwich the way he asked because (you) say it's wrong even though he ordered the same sandwich several times before at this same place and it hasn't been a problem?" The guy yelled back, "We'll I'm the only one doing it right!" I turned from him to my son and said, "Let's go son. We're going to a different restaurant."

I am shocked and very offended that a grown man could yell at a boy over oregano. There were at leaste 4 other employees who stood idle watching this confrontation occur. That douche bag should never be allowed to work at a counter of any resaurant and the manager should have never let this encounter occur. After checking other rewiews, I see clearly that this store has a pattern of bad reviews and poor customer service. We will not be eating...

I really wish I could give this place 0 stars! They are very rude and unapologetic! Especially the manager Sean. I am new to the ks area and never placed a delivery order until the day of the incident. I placed an online order on the day of the incident at 12:34pm to have it delivered between 2:15pm and 2:30pm. I receive a call at 2:30 stating they were going to be 15mins late. My lunch is only 30 mins, which is why I placed my order early. I called and ask to speak to a manager, Sean stated he was the manager. I told him my concern as to why I placed my order well in advance only to receive a call at 2:30pm and say they will be 15mins late? Sean stated they were very busy and the order should be on its way. While still not addressing my concern, I ask again. After asking again he finally search my ticket only and made my order free which was only a sanchwich. Which was not what I wanted and also drew that line of not purchasing anything else. 5 mins after disconnecting with the "manager" the driver called and stated I was not in his service area so he can not deliver. They were 11 mins away! After everything I'm still left without any food or an apology. I called the manager back to explain what happen. Still recieved any ownership nor apology, but the phone disconnecting in my face. I called customer service to state a complaint. The rep discover the address populated incorrectly which is why this result in an error. Why did it take that long to have my address verified? Why after all the inconvenience my order and PAYMENT did not go to the location that was in the service area? Still have not recieve a courtesy call, or ownership of what took place. I know mistakes happens, what happens next is...

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I USED to be a frequent customer, since I work in the same area at a local business, it was really convenient....until I got food poisoning from eating from this location. I ordered lunch from here last Tuesday. I called the store Wednesday afternoon (8/26) and asked for the General Manager. I was put on hold, and the Assistant Manager got on the line. I tried explaining everything to her, and right after I told her I got food poisoning from eating there, she rudely interrupted me and said "Okay, and?" She had no concern about any of it, she just told me to call back another time for the General Manager. I tried calling again on Thursday afternoon (8/27) and was told that the GM wasn't there. Do you even have a General Manager??? The management here is a complete joke. They obviously don't care about the quality of food they are serving as long as they're making a quick buck. I will be escalating this to corporate, and I will NOT reccommend anyone to go to this...
