Last time I tried it, got sick. Months later, decided to try it one more time. Ordered online one pasta dish and one side salad. Got there a couple of min before quoted time, paid, and waited. They were busy, so I understood. Standing there like some doofus for 20min, I asked the same cashier that rang up my order if I was in the right spot since I was being surrounded by incoming people. She said she would call my name since it wasn't ready and she would find me. I told her that I would be on the other side and less in the way. Found a spot to stand close to where the take away orders were being placed. Sure no problem. During my wait, I was slightly amused by some worker with a bad attitude (maybe burned out?) throwing a pepper shaker and pasta dishes around and declaring that she "wasn't going over there again". As time went on, I watched as 2 take away orders were messed up. I saw what maybe was a manager or lead apologize to several people. I watched as people that had ordered after me were finishing their meals. After a long day at work myself, I checked the clock and I had waited for 45 min. I had been feeling and stuffing down the social anxiety the best I could. I tried to not be one of THOSE people. I tried to be understanding. But 45 min for one pasta dish and one side salad with even checking in after 20min? Oi. I stood there, internally debating on what to do next. I saw some tired looking young man close by, slouching over the counter, waiting on a completely messed up take out order. He looked like I was feeling on the inside. Perhaps I might have looked similar by then. I ultimately decided that I really just wanted to get out of the mess of a place, get out of there, and go home. My rare treat of eating out would just be denied this time. Better luck elsewhere. I took the 3 steps to the nearest open cashier and said I couldn't wait any longer and needed to leave. I requested a refund. She looked like she was confused at life in general, but was nice. She got the attention of the young lady that was a manager or lead. She found my order and she said it would be fine to eat. I questioned how long it had been sitting there. She said that it's been there since 6pm. It was in one bag - one cold salad next to a hot pasta dish sitting at room temp for 30 min, plus the 10min drive home? Given how sick I got the first time I ate there? Wha? No thanks. She offered to have me wait for them to make a new one since they "had now slowed down enough to catch up", but I really didn't want to chance waiting until my retirement. She offered the room temp meal again. No thanks, it's been a long day for everyone involved, I just want my money back so I can go home. I felt so flushed from anxiety and embarrassed to be in the situation at all. I felt so bad to even have to do that, that I even thanked her as I scurried away. It probably sounded sarcastic, but I hope not. The real problem was that I witnessed a fragile system collapse under pressure. Other places handle busy times with only a minor mishap here and there. I was offered spoiled food. I checked in and no real effort was made to check or expedite my small order. No one noticed a single person standing in the way for the better part of an hour. Hot food was placed in the same bag as cold food. If it was just me, I wouldn't bother with this review. But I saw 3/4 take away orders (not even including mine) get so messed up, it had to be redone. It's unfortunate to see that. I know that my small order will not make a dent in how successful they are. I know I will never try the place again and that won't matter. But I hope it gets better for the few staff there that seemed to care and to other...
Read moreAfter hearing so many great things about this chain I was very surprised at how vacant this place was when we picked up our to-go order at 6pm on a Sunday. The only other people there were a family of four eating on the patio out front.
After returning home with our order, we soon realized why this was the case. The first issue was the portion sizes. My husband ordered the Korean beef dish with double meat, no veggies and I had ordered chicken Pad Thai, no egg. We had the same amount of protein in our dishes, but his bowl was half as full as mine, about the same amount of food as my son's kids meal dish had.
The second issue was with my dish. It had no egg, which is how I had ordered it, but it also had nothing else it should have come with, except a small, slightly rotten looking lemon wedge and a tiny and wilted sprig of cilantro.
Redeeming qualities of this place were that the food was prepared quickly and the sauces on all the dishes were tasty. Overall though, definitely not worth the price and I recommend not visiting this location. I hope our experiences here we're not a reflection of all...
Read moreHaving going to Noodles and Co since they came into Kanas City areaToday I had the most absolutely nastiest food I have ever eaten. Asian noodles might of had pieces of meat. Asked for extra sauce that might amount to 2 tablespoons worth that was my spouses order. He said sauce tasted stall. I had beef stroganoff, only sauce on top of noodles not even mixed. Maybe 5 pieces of small tasteless meat and sauce. Your company better start paying attention. There are to many excellent choices to eat out at in this area, for you not to serve better food. I should of paid attention, that a restaurant at 5:00 pm on a Friday holiday weekend empty at supper time. That always had a line of people ordering supper. The food must be bad. If I could give 1/2 a star ⭐️ that is what I rate this experience too. Never will eat at Noodles and Co again. Too bad food was excellent for years. What Happened????? If I did not have to drive back I would return this nasty food and get my money back. Something like $23. and...
