My family and I stayed in Old Orchard Beach for two weekends while RVing and found this gem. While we were a bit hesitant due to the not so great reviews on Google and YELP we figured we’d give it a go anyway and judge for ourselves. Boy are we glad we did!
We were immediately greeted by a friendly host who said we could sit wherever we’d like. My Son chose a high top seated at the upper level where we could watch the country music videos being played on two screens.
Our waitress Sierra greeted us with a very friendly upbeat attitude. She asked us what we’d like to drink and had them to us in no time. We ordered Beers, Margaritas and Water. No complaints thus far. We wanted to try The Cowboy Wing platter which offers 20 wings but couldn’t decide on a sauce as they all sounded so appealing. Sierra kindly said that we could try multiple flavors and with us all having different tastes we ended up throwing eight different options her way. We all giggled including Sierra. While we felt we were being pains in the butt by doing so she happily accommodated us which we thought was totally awesome. She did admit she wouldn’t be able to remember which sauce would be which but we didn’t mind as we thought it would be fun to guess... The wings were cooked to perfection and ALL of the sauces were absolutely delish, my favorite being the Honey Bourbon. We also ordered the Supreme Nacho plate with chicken added. Those too were very tasty. We were all pretty hungry when we first arrived as we’d skipped breakfast that morning but after these yummy apps we were pretty stuffed. My husband and Som being huge burger buffs they decided they weren’t going to pass up on trying one of their burgers. They both ordered a Bacon Double Cheeseburger and both admitted they were some of juiciest and tastiest burgers they’d ever had. I too couldn’t resist taking a few bites myself and yes, talk about a delicious burger. Sooo good!!!!
We were very fond of this place...The atmosphere, inside and outdoor seating, games to play, good beer and drinks, yummy food, great music and friendly staff, you really can’t go wrong. We have a trip planned in October and definitely plan on visiting this restaurant again.
We’re huge on reviews and had we not come in due to the ones out there we would’ve totally missed out. This restaurant/bar is definitely under rated. Go in with an open mind and you won’t be disappointed.
If you’re looking for good drinks, a fun atmosphere, some country music, good food and friendly staff. This...
Read moreWe were hoping for a fun experience with great food and decided to give this place a go. The atmosphere lends itself to a backyard BBQ in Texas feel (you eat off of cheap paper plates and plastic ware). Our server was new, but she did a great job accommodating us. The beer selection is pretty much made of IPAs and ales, so you're out of luck if you're like me and prefer stouts or porters. We decided to make a meal out of appetizers, specifically the buffalo chicken nachos (great and large portion are served on an aluminum foil covered platter), cowboy corn fritters (also great. They have jalapenos in them and a great chipotle dipping sauce), fried ravioli (I didn't try them, but my friends said the marinara sauce was very cold which took away from the experience), and their smoked wings (10 Texas BBQ sauce and 10 garlic parmesan). The Texas BBQ wings were tasty, but the garlic parmesan wings were over the top salty to the point we could not eat them. In general, the wings were dry and didn't fall off the bone like we have experienced at many other places. So that was disappointing. Given the prices, we were expecting a bit better quality. For our party of four, with drinks, the bill came out to over $120 not including tip. Overall, it's an OK experience with a rather high price tag. It's quite likely that we will skip this place next time...
Read moreI recently made the grave mistake of dining at The Bull and Brew, and it was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Let’s start with the so-called “beef burger.” What I received was an insult to the word "burger." The patty was almost raw—cold and bloody in the center, as if the chef just waved it near a grill and called it a day. It was absolutely disgusting and a serious health hazard. No one should be served something so undercooked without explicit warning.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the fries that came with it were a total disaster. Dry, flavorless, and clearly left under a heat lamp for far too long, they crumbled into a sad pile of dust with every bite. They were so overcooked that it felt like chewing on cardboard.
And the beer—what a joke! I ordered a draft beer, expecting a refreshing drink to wash down my meal, but instead, I got a glass of flat, lifeless liquid that tasted like it had been sitting out for days. It was undrinkable.
To sum it up, the entire meal was a complete disaster from start to finish. The food was inedible, the drinks were a joke, and the experience left me feeling more than a little queasy. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Save yourself the disappointment and go literally...
