We wanted to sit on the patio but the first dude wasnt very accommodating. He didnt offer to put us on to wait for a free spot or just put two chairs at the table they have stuck in a corner. We just wanted to catch up no rush no worries about our spot, just wanted to sit outdoors.but he was just like happy to see us leave for mi pueblo. I drove up to see my cousin but based on his attitude, it must not hurt for patrons spending their money because he didnt care who stayed and who went elsewhere on a Wednesday night at like 8pm. I was already waiting on my cousin to meet me there so i didnt leave, I waited to ask her where we should go. She saw the empty unused table and we saw that multiple tables were sitting with emptied dishes and drinks so she said, "let's ask to wait to beseated, we're in no rush." When we went back in, a girl saw us and greeted us and not only walked to eye the patio & a mess the situation, but was even enthusiastic about us waiting (once again. nobody was hurried. We could've waited an hour and been happy talking on the bench outside.) While we waited, anytime she came through and saw us she would communicate or go look again. Far above what we even expected of someone working all over the place, especially since the dude made this feel like an inconvenience, though I just realized how silly it was to be apologetic. I spent 40 bucks and tipped $10. Nobody was paying me, lol. Anyway, we didnt wait long and were seated. Every other table was empty before our food was out, so I dont k ow why that man was so put off and unwelcoming. Another man who was up front, older, dressed in a different style, possibly the manager. He wasnt very nice but I think it was just HIM. I dont mean that ugly. I just mean that he absolutely did his job and greeted diners the second they came in, he was just gruff and if I'd been in a foul mood with a different personality I think it could've been taken a different way, combined with the other guy basically saying take a inside spot or get out. Anyway. Our chip and salsa guy was kind, our waitress was beyond kind, easy going, pleasant, prompt, thorough, etc. Our food was amazing. I was really hungry so maybe that's why it was so Yum - it's not like it was my first Mexican dish, but I ate it like I'd never had it before, haha. Our cheese dip was good and our drinks were really good. Our ticket was lower than I would've expected and I'm so glad we waited for the patio because it was nice to just catch up with my cousin and enjoy the mild evening and quiet. I know I went into a lot of detail to cover the negative blip in our experience but it all was great otherwise. Just rubbed me wrong. I'm really patient and understanding as a diner. I've worked in food and I know firsthand how awful some diners can be so I try to go above and beyond to be a good diner. I dont understand having someone work the front that may lack people skills type personalities better suited to greet and seat. I dont understand turning away a diner over a simple request that could've been granted by moving a chair or even telling the diner to wait it out. I dont understand. There was nothing about my demeanor or anything that would've implied I'd be a problem customer that wasnt worth the effort. Otherwise, great experience. I think some people would've never gone back or certainly went back and offered to wait to spend their money there, and they'd probably tell others to go elsewhere as a result, and that's why I hope they handle things like...
Read moreI am editing my post. Tonight, July 13, 2023, I asked my husband to pick up my favorite item, the Grande Chimichanga. As usual, it was wonderful; however, tonight there was something off. It had a sour taste. I dipped the tip of my fork in the sour cream and immediately knew it was spoiled. It was really bad. Because I know people always try to return food after they have eaten most of it and also some people just are scammers, I decided to call them to let them know and eat the rest. I called and asked for the manager. He was not available, so I let the person know and told them I didn’t want anything, just to let them know. I took a napkin and tried to wipe off all the sour cream. I then took the salsa and poured it over the plate. When I mixed it, it was worst. I immediately tasted what seemed like sour milk and rice with beans…..ughhhhh! It was at that point, I decided to call back and hopefully get my order remade. I asked for the manager. He came on and when I told him my experience, he advised me he checked the sour cream and it was good. I told him it was bad and tried to explain how I never sent food back, etc. He was so unconcerned and unapologetic that I told him. I wanted my money back. He said, ‘I want my Chimichanga back!’ I was stunned at his tone and demeanor. He then hung up on me. REALLY? Honestly, I was so hurt. I felt disrespected and treated like dirt. I called back and a lady answered the phone. I asked for the manager’s name. She told the person in the background I was asking for his name. She told me Hector. I was almost in tears and poured out my thoughts and heart about my situation . I had had a lazy day, but dressed at 9pm to return the portion I had not eaten. I asked my husband to stay in the car. I walked in and saw a tall gentleman. I asked if he was Hector. He said he was Hector. I informed him I was returning the chimichanga. He looked at the small portion left and frowned as if I was trying to beat them. I tried to show him my post from 2 months ago where I raved about the food. He shrugged his shoulders as if to indicate he really didn’t care. He refunded my money. When he handed me my money, I accepted it and placed it on the counter. I informed him, it was not about the money. It wasn’t about the money. It was about safe eating and customer service. I lost money, but I kept my dignity. I am not a scammer looking for a free meal.
(THIS WAS PART OF MY POST FROM TWO MONTHS AGO). like it all, try the Grande Chimichanga. It is awesome, filled with steak, sausage and shrimp. I absolutely love it! Normally, I get the food to go. Two times, I've dined in. The service was not the best, but the dish we order is the Grande Chimichanga and it is...

We ordered and were chatting and had not yet received our food when I noticed the buser guy standing at the back wall by the register digging in his nose with his finger. And I don’t mean in a ‘quickly get the boog before anyone sees and then go was the hands sort of manner’, but in a hand up in front of face scooping down like an excavator would sort of manner. It was not quick. It was over and over and over and over, scooping and scooping and scooping. Then a wipe on the pants. That was not it. It was not over. He went back, this time switching between first fingers on both hands. It went on and on. He did not care that people could see him and that a couple of my friends had to turn around to see, and he kept on scooping. Then he went in the kitchen. Then he came back out and stood at the back wall again and scooped DEEP in his nostrils agin. Wiped them on himself again. Bused a couple tables, went back to the wall and dug some more. Then he moved positions and stood closer to where the other side of the restaurant could see, and scooped more. He was relentless. Something big was in there and he could not seem to get it. He then had a rag and unlike before, he wiped his hands with it, instead of on himself, but then he went and bused another table and washed the table with the snot rag. We got our food and ate it while he did his digging in the back. Then we were finished and before we got up to leave he went in the kitchen again and came back with chips and salsa and served them to a lady dining by herself. I’m like 💯% sure he did not stop to wash his booger fingers before grabbing Her chips, salsa and the salsa bowl with his snot fingers and taking them to her. We thought, “he’s just busing tables, so maybe he isn’t touching the food”, but then there he came out with food and dishes. He may be sorting silverware and stacking drink cups in the kitchen too, so so many things would be touched by snot hands then we would like to know. Idk if I can go back. I’m sure this happens more than we would like to know, but he wasn’t even trying to hide it. It went on almost the entire time we were there, it was hard to talk about anything else because we couldn’t help but watch and he didn’t seem to care we were watching. So...
