Waffle House — Restaurant in Olive Branch

My mom saw one of the workers there use their hands with no gloves on to pick up another customer waffle. Most of them do not wear gloves on so make sure you watch who making your food and what they doing. Yes luckily the person who Made our food had gloves on. Will never come back here again tho, this location used to be one of the best Waffle House locations out here in the desoto county area. Customer service is terrible me and my mom came here to dine in , customer service is nonexistent here we were told to pick a table that we wanted , we sat down and the waitress we had was not friendly and not attending to our needs. She was too busy trying to kiss another customers butt by which he was a different race from us and she was clearly showing favoritism based who would tip the most off race even tho she is an African American herself. Her customer service was terrible the atmosphere in here was so ghetto , chaotic and noisy. Workers had loud unprofessional conversations cussing and everything. The waitress messed up our order since she was so busy trying to take care of the other guess even tho we were there first but that’s not really a problem the problem was her customer service and lack of following instructions. The waitress didn’t even hand my mom the receipt she just put it on the counter and didn’t say anything and walked off and started talking to coworker. The service is HORRIBLE. We went to two different Waffle Houses and I can't tell you which was worse. We were trying to place a to go order. At the first one, the server told us it would be 15 minutes before she could even take our order because she was about to take a break. We decided to drive to another one and they directed us where to stand for to go orders. That was the last we heard from anybody. We stood there for 20 minutes and no one even acknowledged us. At both establishments there seemed to be plenty of people working, but no order and complete chaos. Some were just standing by doing very little to nothing. Yet, so many people including us received no service or had to wait forever. I'm a pretty patient and understanding person but it was just ridiculous. Waffle house is usually our go to for breakfast, but each time it seems to get worst. There have been several occasions where I guess they didn't use enough batter so they were paper thin and didn't even make a complete circle. My boyfriend and I come to this Waffle House often and have never been disappointed until we went on 7/18/22 in the late afternoon. We were the only customers at that time of day and boy were we disappointed. The waitress got both orders wrong after we had to repeat it to her several times. The food was sub standard (cheesy eggs had no cheese, received Texas Toast instead of wheat, eggs were overcooked, raisen toast so stale it was inedible) and my boyfriend found a piece of plastic which looked to be part of a pen, at the bottom of his Orange juice. We brought all this to the waitress' attention and she acted indifferent. Didn't even offer to deduct the O.J. with plastic from the bill. We watched the cook drop hamburger patties on the floor, and. He then hand squeezed the grease from burgers before putting on a bun for a takeout order.
