Huey's Olive Branch — Restaurant in Olive Branch

Visited on Monday 2-27-2023 around 1:30 P.M. and the parking lot had us second guessing our decision, it was packed. We walked in and our party of 4 was seated immediately. The table was clean and the tables were spaced out well, no concern of bumping others while getting situated in your seat. Our server Ashley was absolutely the best. Her timing was on point, we never felt rushed nor abandoned during our entire meal. We never had to ask for extra napkins, refills, etc. We ordered drinks and appetizers first, took time to review the menu, and while Ashley was taking our entrée orders the appetizers arrived. By the time we finished our appetizers and those dishes were cleared from the table, we had entrées sitting in front of us. It was by far one of the best dining experience we have had in a long time. Ashley and the crew worked like a well oiled machine, best part is they seemed to enjoy doing their job. By the time we completed our meal we were stuffed and very content. Everything our family ordered tasted fresh and was so yummy that we got dessert to go, but by far the best part was the service. Kudos to the entire crew, everyone was definitely doing their job and doing it well IMHO!! It has been a long time since we have walked away from a meal without a single complaint. Even after the massive lunch crowd departed, tables were promptly cleared and cleaned, she was getting her station restocked, she never stood still and yet she was still friendly and attentive to all her guests. First off, let me start off by saying this is my first time ever having to leave a bad review let me thank MsCandyB for giving my friends and I such bad customer service last night. I will not say that it was anything dealing with race but what I will say is she may have been tired, which is understandable especially coming from someone who is also in the food industry. I know the importance of great customer service and unfortunately, that is not what my friends and I experience last night let me not forget to mention that we waited for our food a little over an hour, we ordered two orders of smash burgers, one with onion rings, one with fries, another burger, no side and also an order buffalo wings with fries. After about 30 minutes, we noticed our food still have yet to come out we tried twice to get Miss Candy b attention. She did not respond, but we did see her engaging with two other larger parties. We had a young man to come over to bring us our appetizer we asked him Could he bring us out more drinks because we did not like the sweet tea after we sat there another 30 minutes we was finally able to get her attention. She then told us that the reason why our food was taking so long Was because she was waiting on our three orders of burgers and the order of buffalo wings got cold and she had to re-drop the wings.That was understandable but the non-communication is with rubbed me the wrong way. My friends and I came in and immediately noticed that the energy was off. We immediately heard “who section is this” with an attitude as soon as we sat down as if they were already upset about having to service us THREE hours before closing. It took forever for our server to even take our order. She was extremely dismissive with our table yet we noticed she was very friendly and overly nice to the other tables. She put the drinks on the table and didn’t even care if we had the right drink. We noticed her check on multiple other tables but never stopped at ours. We started to notice people who sat down after us got their food before us. Tables with much larger parties. We waited for an hour and a half for 3 burgers and an order of wings. We expressed that we would just like our food made to go because of the long wait and she admitted that it was a long wait offered no apology or anything. She said she was waiting on the burgers but the wings got cold while waiting on the burgers so she made them redrop the wings. It would have helped if she communicated this with us but instead she did not. We were left wondering why we were waiting an hour & a half it wasn’t until we asked that she told us why.
