I work across the street from this particular McDonald's, and have had issues 2 of the 3 orders I have placed with them. Overall, do not recommend. They were not helpful when I called, only offering to mail a meal voucher out to me after just stating that I was 20 minutes away from them and could return tomorrow, so now I am stuck waiting for that.
The first order issue was last weekend when I ordered a Big Mac and a Chicken Big Mac. I don't know what was crispier, the bun or the chicken... I went on my lunch break and didn't have a chance to call about the issue, but a co-worker went shortly after me and said the burger he ordered was also sub-par (but that the fries were good).
The second order issue was tonight, when I played a curbside pick-up order about 15-minutes prior to leaving work. I've never had a McDonald's check-in my order/prepare my food prior to my arrival - I have always had to check in at the curbside location and then they would prepare my food/bring it out to me. I couldn't check it in and so I called the store. Someone brought my food out to me but forgot my drink, so they had to go back and grab that. I grabbed the drink and left, and tried to eat while I drove home - except the food was cold. (I ordered a 20pc, Lg. Coke, and had a free fry coupon.)
I asked how the curbside was supposed to work because I had never had a location prepare my order prior to my arrival, and the female on the other end said she didn't know. She said she thought maybe I gave up on my order because it had been sitting there for so long, and so I asked why it was prepared if I never checked in. She couldn't answer that question either. I then mentioned how I was having a hard time with this concept, and the fact that everything was cold, but that I don't have a way to just turn back around being 20 minutes away, and she then responded with, "well if you want to come back I can make it fresh for you?" I don't know why that was even an option to offer me when I literally just said I couldn't come back tonight and was 20+ minutes away...
Read moreImportant disclaimer: the general area for this specific location is a curse. That whole corner of 40th street attracts the lowest echelon of shady weirdos and the image of this store is impacted by that through no fault of it's own.
This also has to be one of the most high-traffic locations in Omaha. Considering that, I think they do a reasonably good job with wait times.
However, the employees here really need to shape up attitude-wise. There are some of really friendly and polite people here but a majority of them really need to improve on their customer interaction skills.
Another thing that needs to be improved is order accuracy as well. Luckily, this location usually gets a majority of your order right, but it really really struggles with the small stuff. For instance, my experience here has made it pretty clear that there is no point in asking for sauces/condiments before pulling up to the window where you receive your food, as you almost always never get it. They often forget drinks as well.
This location also seems to struggle with organizing drive-thru orders by customer. I'm often stuck at the payment window while the cashier tries to figure out which order belongs to me and, even after figuring it out, I'll pull up to the next window and the same thing happens. This isn't as much of an inconvenience to me as I feel it is to the people who work there. There are definitely some limitations to the system that they have in place here, and this seems to be something that inevitably happens when it gets busy. The adoption of a system to reduce instances of this I feel would really improve the flow of traffic through this place and make employee's...
Read moreWent there on Fri night/early Sat morning of Aug 22, 2015 with two of my daughters as we were in Omaha due to one of my grandchildren being in Children's Hospital. The gal that took and served our order was an absolute delight! Excellent service, fantastic attitude and delightful demeanor! She even asked why we were in Omaha and expressed that she hoped our little one got well. She went above and beyond what a customer would expect at any time, but at that hour of the morning it was so unexpected and a great experience for us! We were so concerned, tired and hungry and she was very uplifting and put smiles on our faces and even had us laughing! We went there for food and received a whole lot more! Wish I knew her name! She was such a delight, a great worker and represented McDonalds so very well! She deserves at the very least a pat on th back from corporate, owners and management! McDonalds and every business could use more employees like her! I highly recommend this McDonalds! They obviously know how to hire great people! And, yes, the food and drinks were...
