Returned a few times since.
Get this: speziato pizza 5 stars Loved this flavor combo
Caesar salad 3 star It's nothing special but it's ok. It had spinach inside not just romaine. Not very much but there were a few leaves.
Capricosa pizza 3-4 stars It has too many black olives for my taste. It overwhelmed the pizza and it was all we could taste
Previous review.... Had a very good experience. You have to go up to the counter to order. We did the lunch special menu, so prices were reasonable for that. Dinner pricing is higher. You can get your own water. They don't serve items on regular plates (ceramic, glass etc), but on disposable serving ware. The pizza itself has a very nice crust. Very light and paper thin, but still crispy. The pasta I tried was the bechamella (Bechamel sauce w/chicken, capricola, caramelized onion, roasted red peppers. Topped with mozzarella and baked). It was very filling. Came with a breastick for $8. Add $2 for a salad. I loved the dish, but I could not finish it all. I only ate a quarter of it. I had intended to pack it up. The server came by to check up on us and noticed my unfinished dish. Without missing a beat she asked if I didn't like it. She even offered a gift card to make up for it. I assured her it wasn't the food, it was just my small appetite. I did like that level of customer service. My lunch companion was impressed. Customer service is often the other determining factor for a five star when I've only tried the place one time. I would definitely go again. The only hiccup was the salad came a lot later. We had to ask for it. It wasn't really explained as to why there...
Read moreThis was one of the absolute worst experiences I have had at a restaurant. Customer service and food quality were both terrible. My friend and I ordered garlic knots and pasta. We were waiting a decent amount of time and were then told our knots had been burnt and they would give us a new batch on them. Okay, no worries. I was totally fine with that. We then were served knots literally 2 minutes later. I bit into it and thought it was cheese filled. Turns out they were way under done. So we had to get yet another batch. Our waiter never came back, so I had to go up to the counter to tell them. They then had to give the knots another go. We waited and waited for them. Finally we were just served our pasta. My pasta was literally served in a microwave container with no sauce. It was just dry noodles and mushrooms. I could not eat it. My waiter came back with the excuse that it was supposed to be cooked that way even though the description on the menu included sauce. Meanwhile, we still haven't gotten our knots. So, we had to ask for them again! When we finally got them the dipping sauce for them was so watered down you couldn't even taste it. Also, we could hear that the other guests were told they didn't have cheese ready and would have to wait an extra 25 minutes to get their food. This was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had dining out. I will never come back here again. Note of advice - get some people that are at least out of high school or college to manage your business. Everyone running the restaurant was so young and...
Read moreJust like a pizza shop in NYC- Except one thing: It's missing all the dirt and classic red & white checker tile. When it comes to Pizza I'm more of an Chicago style than a New Yorker, so for me- Noli's Pizzeria is just alright. The ordering set up is a tad confusing- How do I know when toppings will go well together? Are there different types of sauce? (No) If I don't pick a special cheese of the list does it still come with regular cheese? (No). So many questions! The topping selection cover the basics, with a few special ingredients on the menu, but no bacon, no green peppers, no chicken, no pineapple, no BBQ sauce. All my favors, Not an option. The garlic knots were homemade, with garlic chucks visible, but lacking the garlic flavor. The salads are a mixed leaf, and a little heavy on the dressing. Even the concept of less waste is confusing to me? My assumption would be that washing regular dishes would be better for the environment than recycling? But I'm not really sure how the whole system works, so I'm just gonna trust them on that one and say It's really cool that they are all ecofriendly and helping the community! Now the ambiance though- that's fantastic! I love the decor, front window bar seating, and general feel of the restaurant. Now if they would only switch up their pizza toppings I would think about...
