I have always loved Panda Express since I was a child. Most people do!! They’re amazing that’s why you’re always busy! However, the service and quality of food is location based and employee based. I have had a few mini issues when I’ve ate here personally or gotten take out, but I am also a door dasher part time and every time I door dash to this location it’s always an issue. I understand it’s busy, especially on a weekend. I can definitely understand that. However, when I am told to pick food up for a customer at 6:00pm and I arrive at 5:57pm and was told it’s 3 more mins til they bag it, I expect that. I reached out to my customer and let them know it’ll be a few minutes late and they’re okay with that! I waited patiently as every other dasher and customer got their food, for 35 minutes. No one came to me with an update, or at least tell me up front the realistic time this order will be done. That transparency matters to me, and to the customer that I’m delivering too. If it was my food, I would like to know why it’s taking so long. Aside from poor communication, the staff seemed overwhelmed and lost because it was hectic as it was dinner rush on a cold Sunday. This caused me to ask about my order because I see that some of them were confused and a lot was going on. When I asked what’s taking so long and if my order will be ready soon because my customer is very upset now and is worried about her food not being hot when she receives it. That is where my biggest issue was because the girl I talked too named Irene, was very rude and didn’t seem like she cared. I get being flustered and that somethings are out of her control, but you have to deliver with sympathy and understanding when in customer service. I did not receive that. Once I asked and made it a big deal, they found the receipt and it was ready and bagged up in 5 mins!!!!!! Not only could it have been done faster if their system flowed better to handle peak hours but they could care and communicated better. This caused me to get a 1 on my DoorDash review and a complaint. On top of that, it cost me to lose my delivery bonus I could have had if I did my job better. Read moreHORRIBLE - CUSTOMER SERVICE Not only was my online order that was placed over an hour ahead of time not ready to be picked up when I arrived (oh, and good thing I brought my online confirmation with me because she needed it to figure out my order!), but when I got back to my office - a bowl and crab Rangoon add on were not included (guess giving her the print out wasn't sufficient). When I realized and called the store, they said they noticed that and did I want to come back. I explained that I could not come back - and the line was dead silent. I had to ask for a refund and now have to keep my fingers crossed that gets done. No apology was offered at any time during the call. No offer to make things right. Even when you get there to pick up your food even if you are well after (I arrived about 15 minutes after) the advised pick up time they will still wait till they get all the other customers first and have time to do your online order. It is like they are hostile to online orders and want to punish you for placing one. Even after you show up they will still assist customers who walk in after you before they work the online order. Even the manager was doing this (or at least the one person in black). Online orders for Panda are designed so the food should be ready for pick up at the time given.
