Sea Thai in Omaha is an awesome!! I started with tom kha soup (I will judge a Thai restaurant solely on tom kha and/or tom yum). It scored high!! rich, fragrant, and full of flavor, with a generous portion that could easily be a meal on its own. Actually, it should have been my meal as it came with rice. But no self control here. I then ordered the “chicken in the mud” on a staff recommendation. It unlike anything I’ve ever tried—completely non-traditional, but in the best possible way. The flavors were bold and unique. It had all the comfort of a great curry with the and surprise of being unique. The celery add a super welcomed “crunch” to the party.
On top of the food, the restaurant itself is spotless, and the staff is hands-down the best!! I could have stayed all night just chatting with my server. She was super friendly & interesting. Sadly, she had free time because all the restaurants in the area are suffering due to the construction. I cannot recommend enough that everyone in Omaha make a point to visit. Delicious food, great people, and a place worth supporting! Support local! Several other places on the...
Read moreGreat food! I saw there was a Thai place going in by our house but wasn’t open yet. I sent a message to the owners via the Facebook page and they promptly sent me a menu and the date they were opening. We ordered take out on opening night, pad Thai with chicken, pork gyoza, garlic wings, and pad see eew combination. Everything was correct on our order and the flavors were great! Large portions with good noodle to meat ratios. The spice level was accurate, pad see eew was a level 1 out of 10 which was pretty much no heat. I will try a level 2 or 3 next time. The pad see eew was level 8 and had pretty good heat. We will be returning and recommending to friends and family. UPDATE: we have tried to order carry out several times and been told it would be over an hour wait. We asked how long it would be if we dined in and were told the same. We have not returned because of this, hopefully they can look into...
Read moreMy wife and I found this establishment by accident. But it was a very pleasant accident. The experience transcended us to a whole new culture and cuisine of amazing dishes, food, atmosphere and the people. We went outside our comfort level and had an exquisite dinner amongst some if omaha finest Thai chefs. When you eat his food you can surely taste the love he has for his craft. He spent the night talking about his love for cooking and food and as a chef myself it brought pure joy to my heart. His food speaks for itself. Come out and try some of omaha's best Thai restaurants and you won't regret it. Also would love to give a big shout out to Nay our server and the sister of the owner ting and her beautiful daughter Shelby. They were very nice and made our night. We won't forget this place and will make it our usual date...
