Service was a 3 star (read below for details). Their food is generally 5 stars. The buns were super soft yet still held everything inside. Their smashed patties were moist and easy to bite into. The flavorings came together nicely.
My favorite was the spicy guacamole burger priced at 6.49 5 star We also tried the Avocado melt with bison patty priced at 5.49 with 3 dollar add on for bison patty. This was a 4.5 star for me The Kitchen sink was another five star priced at 6.49.
The sides we tried was the sriracha slaw at 1.99. 4 star The flavors were ok for me, but I am not a huge fan of sriracha. It was a 5 star for my friend who loves it. Garlic parm truffle fries at 3.49 was a 5 star. They have a lot of parm. My friends complaint was that it was finely grated parm and not the shredded parm. I did not have an issue. We recommend adding honey mustard sauce (it was the only one we had for 25 cents)
On to the service... The staff seemed not knowledeable about the point of sale system, requiring a manager to step in. I never received cutlery for my food. My friend did. Which is an inconsistency issue. I saw the person walking around to 2 other tables before finally coming to me and handing me the food. They have numbers that you put in the paper tower holders I thought to make it easier, but my food was getting cold as the server couldn't figure out where to bring the food. He overlooked my number the first time and went to other tables first. I was pretty sure it was mine (and yes it was) When I was receiving my food, they asked me if I wanted ketchup. I said yes. They never came back to give it to me.
I will give them props that their manager came by. He asked how everything was. My mouth was full (back was to them when they came by) and could not respond, my friends said it was fine, so I didn't get a chance to say anything to them. My friends food had arrived without incident. but we were on...

WHAT I ORDERED Mushroom Swiss Burger (Garlic Aioli, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Sautéed Mushrooms, Swiss Cheese) with a side order of Garlic Parm Truffle Fries.
The burger was loaded with toppings which gave it a nice full look. The burger paddy had good flavor and the bun was nice and fluffy. Overall the burger was tasty and greasy.
The fries were fresh-cut and loaded with Parmesan cheese. My honest opinion here is that they were extremely underwhelming. These fries were soft/soggy and I didn’t have any hint of truffle oil. I spoke to a few people and apparently their fries are always this way.
MENU Smitty’s has a large selection of burger options and you can choose Turkey or Bison (+$2) if you don’t want a traditional beef paddy. There are also a few sandwiches, melts, salads, and Tacos.

VISITING CONDITIONS I came here around 7pm on a Saturday. The place was packed, but since you order at the counter I got my order in right as I arrived.
ESTABLISHMENT Smitty’s is a burger joint with a full bar and TVs all over the place. The vibe and decor mimics the classic American oldies/garage.
STAFF Since you order at the counter there wasn’t much of a waiting staff working here. I sat at the bar and was attended to right away. The bartender were friendly and attentive the entire time I was there.
PRICING The burgers are around $5-8 and you’ll have to order sides separately which are $2-5. Drinks are $3-6.
Their Happy Hours are Mon-Fri 11am - 6pm and Sat-Sun 3pm-6pm.
LOCATION 7610 Dodge Street Omaha, NE 68114
If you like a classic greasy burger and an American oldies atmosphere can definitely MARK THIS PLACE DOWN...

Weirdest sports bar layout I've ever seen. You have to order and pay for your food fast-food-style before you can sit. But then they still have servers bring you food. Then you raise a sign at your table to get a drink. When you get tired of waiting for the bartender to come over and take your order, you walk up to the bar and finally get your drink. You want more food like desert or a snack while your watching a game? Exit the dining area and go back to the fast food line.
Food is pretty forgettable compared to other sports bars and restaurants. First time I was there, had a bacon cheeseburger with truffle fries. The burger was bland and the fries had so much truffle it was inedible. Second time I went was for a work party, and while the food was ok this time (not great tho), I ordered a Fat Tire and it was the flattest, skunkiest, foulest beer I'd ever tasted. Best by date on the bottle was 2 months ago. Bartender comped the drink thankfully and got me something else, and wasn't rude.
In general, staff are friendly but short handed. I've only ever seen two waiters plus the one bartender working, and both times I've gone during peak dinner hours. Could be a nice place if it wasn't so...
