I actually enjoyed this place and have been to the Traproom too many times to count to enjoy some whiskey and cool decor. This particular night was the first time I was served by Jacky or Jackie the bartender. I have been in the industry now for over 15 years and I can tell you she is in the wrong one industry. She was rude to everyone and simply didn't care about it. How are serving people if you don't like people. She was too "edgy" to care. She complained about a group that was in there and said it out loud for everyone to hear seeking the validation of other patrons, but we're all paying customers. I watched her hand out shots to someone who obviously had enough and they threw up on themselves. All you heard come out of her were negative comments about people. She laughs at you with condescension if you ask a question. If people like her, it's because she gave them a free shot. She's definitely one of the worst bartenders I've run into in Omaha, but she's obviously the coolest in her...
Read moreHow the mighty have fallen. When this place opened it was among the more unique places I had been. There was a white shag rug, a mid century record player open to customers, a dynamite staff and drink menu. It was a proper lounge. I am in Omaha often for work and I have always tried hard to stop. This will be my last visit. The bartender was pretty pissed I came in and spent the majority of the time on her phone or talking to a friend at the bar. It was a slow night, sure, but I had just come from 801 and Take Flight; where it was slow, but enjoyable. It gets lonely on the road. You just want some type of human connection. When you go to look for that and get an eye roll and ignored it sucks. Farewell, friend. I hope you last longer but I...
Read moreI am a very polite person. I use please and thank you I say ma'am and sir. Apparently the owner of the bar doesn't like that and neither does her drunk loud friend who thought it would be cool to make fun of me for calling the owner ma'am by saying ma'am over and over again in the most loud and annoying voice and then the owner chimed in and laughed about it as well. I was really excited when I found out that a woman owned this bar and then I was very disappointed when she showed me she doesn't support or encourage other women she's one of those women who likes to bully. For that purpose I would not recommend this establishment to anybody. I rather be polite than...
