I would never go here again!!! Completely unsafe and violates public safety to their patrons. I was at the bar at the Exchange tonight and I accidentally dropped my keys out of my small purse while purchasing a beverage for my friend and myself. 1:45AM came around and we then realized that my car keys with my house keys on them too were not in my small purse. My friend and I asked the security if we could quickly look up by the bar in the Exchange because that was the only place we purchased a drink and opened my small purse at and they told us that we were not allowed to. I then asked if they could look for us so we could get home. They told us they had looked and they found nothing. At that point I had called a ride so we could get home. I asked the security guys if we could wait inside since it’s 11 degrees out while our ride was on its way. They told us we could not and that we had to leave the building. I then asked if I could leave my number in case they found my keys soon so we could get my car. Their response was, “why are you going to forget to call us in the morning?” Luckily, our ride showed up quickly, but if not then we would have had to wait for awhile out in the cold with no where to go and no other places open. This violates the Reasonable Car Act and is common curtesy and knowledge to keep your patrons safe in inclement weather. We then called the facility after leaving and a bartender answered who we asked if she could go and look for our keys after we explained our situation. Within 3 minutes, she was able to easily find them. The security had obviously lied to us when they said they looked for them and could not find them and would refuse to let us look and then kicked us out in the cold when we even asked to wait because it was cold out for our ride. Completely unprofessional of this company. I have no idea who the security service was, but the Capital District bars need to employ someone else since this is common knowledge and reflects poorly on them and is a liability to them for their security company treating their guests this way. The point of security are to provide safety to all patrons and employees and they did a horrible job providing that safety by lying and kicking two young females out in the cold with no keys...
Read moreWe got two bottles for bottle service and a reserved booth for my birthday. The booth was the closest one to the door and it was freezing. We had an attentive waitress for the first half and them we saw her working a beer station and we had to go the bar for mix refills, ice, shots, waters and such. I regretted my 30% tip I left when we purchased the service. We also had to continuously defend our booth and our drinks. People keep just trying to help themselves to our mixes and bottle. We complained to security but it did no good. One girl got mad I wouldn't let her drink our vodka and knocked over a beer all over the table that we had to clean up ourselves as nobody was attending us. People also keep sitting on our reserved booth and we would have to argue with them to get out, it was not pleasant at all. The bar also shares a bathroom with another bar that had seven stalls and one didn't even have a door so the line was about 20 deep and at about midnight there was only toilet paper in about half the stalls. The floor of the bar was very wet from spilled drink and a member of our party actually spilled and fell. We left as soon as we finished...
