Waited a very long time after we were seated so I had to ask another server to get someone to come. I started timing and no one came for another 5 minutes, and that’s to another table, not us. That table came after us and they were already served a few minutes after they got here. Originally I thought the server is not responsible for our table, that’s why she didn’t stop at our table. So the server came with their drinks and took their order, I still thought she’s not our server at that point. After she took the other table’s order, she came to ours and asked if we were ready to order, and I said yes, we need to get some drinks first. She then said she will take both the at the same time. She took our order and left. After she left, we realized we did not order the soup for my mother’s senior meal, and obviously the server didn’t ask. When she came back, I asked if the meal came with soup or salad and she said yes. Seriously, what kind of service is this. No name, no apologies for the wait, bad service. My bad experience is mainly focused on the service I got, the other servers seem ok. Another table that was seated and served by another server is already eating, we’re still waiting for our food....They’ll probably finish eating before our food gets here...It’s already 10 minutes after we order....We’ve been seated 30 minutes...
Read moreLast Sunday my party had the worst experience we've ever had at a Denny's, maybe even any restaurant we've ever gone to. We waited almost 1 1/2 hours for our food to come out while the server constantly asked us what we ordered, despite her writing it down at the start of the visit. One person in our party was told after 30 minutes of waiting that they couldn't make the lasagna they ordered, so they switched their order a burger, but then never got their food after another hour later. We also ordered 2 chocolate shakes and 1 oreo shake -- only one shake came out and the other two never arrived. We talked to the manager at the store about our experience. He apologized and applied a discount, but he failed to remove one of the shakes that never came from the receipt, and the discount which was supposed to be 15% of our $130 bill, but only $10 off the bill. At home we read the receipt more carefully and noticed we were also charged for a Bourbon Chicken Skillet which we never ordered which was shocking! I've been trying for days to call this Denny's, complain to the manager, complain to the company but all of their forms of contact are not working or won't go to a real person. Read moreI can't remember who the waitress was who waited on me the evening of February 26-27. She was great and I tipped her accordingly. However on February 27th, I returned because of the proximity of the place to my hotel. It took about 20 minutes just to get my name on the waiting list. The one waitress originally checking people in apparently was doing everything to avoid putting people's name on a waiting list. Also the place was half full. So why a waiting list was needed I do not know. She would approach the check in podium then turn away to serve beverages and go to another part of the restaurant. She was a bona fide lame brain. Food was good; not fantastic. But this is a terribly managed place and has been the 12 plus years I have been going there. Why do I return? Convenience only.
