Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Orange Beach

(I created a fake profile so no one will know who I am.) We visit Dairy Queen every time we come to Orange Beach. This particular time made us rethink our traditions. Brodenia took our order tonight. She was completely rude to my father in law when he was ordering saying things like “huh” and “what?” And laughing at him When she couldn’t understand him. She was also unprofessional because she never took her mic off so we could hear everything she was saying to her coworker next to her about us. After we took 7 whole minutes trying to order our 5 ice cream/drinks she still got 3 of the orders wrong. When we tried to tell her that we ordered a hot fudge shake and an extreme frappe and that she gave us a regular shake (?) and an Oreo frappe she argues with us for 5 minutes. My diabetic father in law ordered a SUGAR FREE dilly bar and we just asked if it was sugar free and she said LOOK ON THE FRONT ITS CLEARLY RIGHT THERE. We had to throw away 2 items because 1 we didn’t order it and 1 the person who ordered a regular frappe hates oreos.

The only reason we put 2 stars was because the 2 people who got their order right actually enjoyed their order.

Usually I am not one to complain or write a bad review, but our after dinner Dairy Queen treat while visiting Orange Beach, AL was not a very good experience for any of us. We got there before the rush, which was nice, but it also seemed to be during a shift change for the employees. After we ordered our blizzards and dipped cones (there were four of us, 2 adults and 2 kids) we had to wait for about 10 minutes, and then 3 out of 4 of us didn't get the right order. And the order I did get tasted like an old, stale brownie. By this time none of the employees seemed to know what was going on or even cared because it seemed like everyone else was waiting for their food and the line was backed up to the front door. I will not recommend going here to any of my friends or family who are visiting this area. the store wasn't too clean either. My son got someone else chocolate syrup all over his leg while we were sitting at the table and non of us had chocolate syrup on the orders we received. This location...

The burger was rather average, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the amazing cheese curds and onion rings. I’d go back for those. The service was rather lacking and I’m not sure if there was an issue with the microphone, or what, but the lady couldn’t hear us; even with turning off our vehicle which was rather quite to begin with. Update 3/21/24: It’s been roughly a year, so I thought I’d update. The service still lacks and issues microphone/speakers persist. My last order we were never given a total or read back our order, eventually after a car pulling up behind us. We decided to proceed forward, the service was abrupt and not the friendliest I would expect. We were given our drinks and told to pull around to the front(the usual for this location).
