We arrived and there were lots of people waiting outside. We thought it was going to be a long wait. I asked the hostess how long the wait was? She said just the two of you? We can seat you right away. Our server immediately stop by our table and introduced herself and let us know she would be right back. A couple minutes later, she was back and took our drink and appetizer order. She was back quickly with our drinks and bread, and let us know the stuffed mushrooms were up and she would bring them right out. She dropped off the mushrooms and took our order. My wife and I both order the 8oz sirloin and sides. My wife loved the mushrooms but I thought they tasted like rotten Alfredo with mozzarella cheese melted in too. My salad with blue cheese dressing soon came out. I love blue cheese dressing and order it everywhere I order salad. I have had this same salad at the Towne Center Longhornin Sanford. The blue cheese dressing was pungent and overpowering. Also several of the lettuce leaves were black with rot. My wife gave me that look and said just don’t say anything. A family of four two adults and two children were seated behind us just then. As soon as they were seated the girl, probably 9 or 10, behind my wife started jumping in the seat and kicking the back of my wife’s booth. I immediately let the party know my wife had a bad back and nerve injury. They looked at me like I was clueless. The server dropped our order and start to take their order. I asked another server if these were 8oz sirloins. She assured us they were but I have managed restaurants for 25 years and I am quite sure they charged us for 8oz and served us 6oz. Even my wife who usually orders a 6oz sirloin said they were small. As soon as the server left the girl started jumping and kicking the back of my wife seat. I told the guy but he ignored me. I tried to get my servers attention but was unsuccessful. My wife said there is probably nothing she could do anyway. All the other table were looking at the girl acting out and her parents ignoring her. I suggested changing seats with my wife but she said I would not hold my tongue and say something. She sat there in pain and agony while the girl continued on and on. I asked for the check so we could leave. I can not believe a manager could not address this situation rather than...
Read moreThe Orange City location is obviously having problems. We have dined there a total of five times in two months. First time, dining room, half empty we had 45 minute wait time. Server explained to Wash that “nobody wants to come to work “…. Second trip we called ahead. , dining room, half empty. We had a 40 minute wait. This time a server tells us that one of the cooks didn’t show up. Took us 15 minutes to get our dinner. Which by the way, was excellent….. third trip 45 minute wait, on a weeknight, almost an hour, to get our food, which, by the way was excellent…… last night, a Thursday,, once again restaurant half empty 40 minute wait. While at the bar, the bartender tells us the reason these wait times are always so long. It’s because the restaurant that they took over the building from has a very small kitchen, and you can’t cook 100 steaks at one time, so after 40 minutes, we are seated, from the time we ordered our meal an hour and 10 minutes elapsed we did not get our food. Once again, restaurant is now 3/4 empty. Server comes over at that point, and apologizes and says our steaks were delivered to a different table. ….. 15 to 20 minutes later we had our steaks which by the way were very good, very good…… my point for this long review is, I don’t know how much longer we will keep in during the never ending plethora of silly excuses….. we love Longhorn, and it’s nice that one was open closer to our home. But if you take over an existing restaurant that has a kitchen that is half the size it should be. accommodate Longhorn, why would you not renovate and add on to the kitchen before you open.?? at this point, we’ve heard so many lame excuses, it is getting ridiculous last night we arrived at 7 o’clock, we did not leave until 920. At no time did any management personnel even come by and offer us, I don’t know, maybe a dessert on the house, for our inconvenience. No. Not that I’m looking for anything for free because that’s not how I am, I just don’t know what’s going on with this location that they cannot get their act together after being opened for all of...
Read moreMy son, husband and I went here for dinner today and had a feeling as soon as the waitress came to us we should have left. The waitress (Tenee) came introduced herself and took our drink/ app order. Her eyes we literally closed and glassy/red. It was 100% obvious what was going on with her. She came brought us bread and our app promptly but had to wait 15 mins for our drinks (2 waters and a sweet tea) finally a waiter came and asked us if we were ok and my husband told him and at the same time the table beside us were waiting for drinks also. They arrived at the same time as us. We finally got our drinks and we’re able to eat our app (as it’s now cold waiting on the drinks). My sons water was empty and tenee said she’d bring him a refill but that didn’t happen until a very sweet waitress who seen how tenee was serving us jumped in and offered to get the drink. Then tenee took our food order and no lie took 15 mins to put the order in on the machine. (We were sitting directly beside the machine). She appeared to be falling asleep. I wish I got the friendly and helpful waitress name who assisted in our visit. She was great she was blond hair and glasses. She brought my salad out and also got my husbands and I drink refill. The food eventually came out by other staff also and was ok. The only thing was my fillet was not a fillet and was a sirloin but at this point and over an hour here dealing with this I was over it and we just wanted to leave. We waited another 10ish minutes for the bill and couldn’t get out fast enough. I’m sure we I’ll be back, it wasn’t anyone else’s fault but would never let her help us again. I hope someone notices this behavior and maybe send the person home to recover whatever they’re going through rather than let them wait on people like this. Definitely expected better. And to the lady who tried to salvage our dinner thank you,...
