10/19/2020 I have been here at least once a week if not more during COVID. Love this place and the food had been consistently great. I bring my daughter and grandson often. My wife is not a fan of Mexican food but she likes Tijuana Flats. The service here is always great. I ordered the steak enchiladas today and they were good but the meat was burnt. They still tasted good and the manager said he would replace them. They are great here.
Feb 2020 I eat frequent Tijuana Flats at least once a week and have been to more than twenty locations. This location was the one that hooked me on Tijuana Flats. It has been several months since I was last at this location. When entering I first noticed a musty smell. Dust was visible on the walls and chair rails. The booths were also not what you would call clean. The paint on the walls and trim was scraped and worn. Baseboard tiles were dirty and some were missing. The bathroom was not a pleasant trip. I have been at this location at least 30 times and have never observed these conditions. Our Cokes seamed very watered down as if the brix was off. I had Steak enchiladas and they were good as usual. My grandson got the chicken taco kids meal. I asked for no cheese since he is allergic and could they substitute guacamole. His taco came with a teaspoon of guacamole which they charged a dollar for. Our meal was 24 and change which seamed very high. I order the same meal every time and it is usually 10.00 for enchiladas and a drink. The kids meal was 4.89 before the guacamole. This location seams less busy than other times I have visited. I will return and hopefully will have a better...
Read moreIt's Saturday, August 27th at 3:40pm. 40 minutes ago I just got off a ten hour shift at work, so I thought I would treat myself to Tijuana Flats at 1169 Saxon Blvd Ste 200, Orange City, FL to celebrate a three day weekend. I've been here before, so I thought I would pick my favorite meal to start the weekend. I walked in at 3:15pm and was invited to seat myself for service. After sitting at the table (just recently vacated by other diners) for 25 minutes with not a single server, hostess, or manager even acknowledging my presence, I started searching for other local Mexican restaurants to visit as I sat there. I watched as two waitresses served the four tables in my immediate vicinity, both walking within mere inches of me with absolutely no interest in even recognizing that a person was seated. I will NEVER again even approach a Tijuana Flats location, or use any businesses that might be adjacent to one. In all my adult life I have never seen such a complete lack of simple respect, or blatantly racist approach to food service. I am African-American and was the only non-Hispanic/non-Caucasian diner in the establishment. In 2022, to be treated as a non-entity is pathetic. Good bye and good riddance,...
Read moreThis cute establishment sits in a strip mall and is well worth the stop. I came in at lunchtime and it wasn’t very busy. The tacos 🌮 were very good even without the 🥵 hot sauce, but it would be a crying shame if you fail to try the many sauces they have here. Texas Pete was my favorite but I do like mine kind of hot. They have mild, sweet, and extreme as well. Don’t let your kids at hot sauce bar alone. Needs to know, although it is on main road, it is hard to see from road due to trees. It is right next to chick fillet. Also nice to know parking wise is that there is a Walmart around corner and behind. There is a lot of parking at Walmart to the far right past car care and a little walking path behind 🐥 fillet if you don’t mind walking. This is what I did. When you walk in you go to counter to order them sit. The service was excellent, they helped me with sauce recommendations and free refills. There are no trash cans because they take care of that for you. Please like if...
