HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. This particular individual (“staff member”) pushes your ticket to the back of all the orders. I was surprised he was acting like that even though I kept my kindness, and patience but not only did I, as so his fellow staff members kept their kindness and other customers too, in spite of the so called “Manager” behaving arrogantly rude and disrespectful. He gives the restaurant a horrible image, He definitely has a Chip on his shoulder, and completely demonstrates it for all to see, he definitely does not fit, the kind hearted, light easy OLD TOWNE ORANGE vibe. I only gave them one star because of the Good Food , unfortunately they have one horrible rotten apple as a staff member it's the “manager” , POOR customer service, horrible attitude it's as if he wants to discourage people from returning.

I Came in at 1:45pm 5/23/2022, There were two people in line ordering before me , I noticed the The Male Cashier Covered in tattoos, Hispanic and very rough looking was carrying himself in a very disrespectful manner With the Lady helping him take out the orders. (Calling them some kind of animal name in Spanish I noticed she was not comfortable but kept dealing with it with a slight smile, as for with the customers he behaved arrogantly giving looks of despise with cutomers.

This is the second time he does this when I have come in and I notice at the time of me coming in he's only said it to me, he mentions before I order, ("it's going to be a 20 minute wait") However for the four people that ordered after me; not to any of them did he mention the ("20 minute wait") and got their orders out with in less than 8 minutes.

So I proceeded and Ordered Two Alpastor Tacos and One Corn on the Cob. I Noticed that the six people that ordered AFTER me got their orders, and went on their way I let some time pass once my timer struck 25 minutes, I approached the Kind lady whom was helping the (arrogant rude cook/ manager) and asked her if my order was on cue to be taken out? The cook/ manager quickly approached with the most despiteful and very angry look, Interrupted the kind lady whom was helping him and looked at me and said "it's there…with a mad look in his face") with no intent of getting my order out. Prior to that moment I noticed the kind lady asking him about my order, when he said "Oh yeah she's there but she's not saying anything " (in Spanish) and then moved my ticket to the back of all the orders once again.

Finally he grabbed the corn on the cob I ordered from someone else's to go order in which by this time the corn on the cob was cold because it had been sitting there for 20 minutes. The rude arrogant cook refused to call my order out as for the tacos , sat opened on the counter for about 10 minutes because the rude arrogant cook/manager with looks of anger and hatred, Refused to bag it up. Finally the Kind lady who was helping him, bagged my order so that I can be on my way.

It's so unfortunate that because of ONE ROTTEN employee the reputation of the restaurant has to suffer and it gives people second thoughts of going back to eat there because of those type...

I have no idea what this location is doing different but WOW, my love for The Taco Stand has just gone up ten-fold.

I frequent the locations in San Diego whenever I am down there, and since I was in Anaheim I wanted to stop by this OC location.

Friday night and they were packed but service and orders were a breeze. Cashier was cool and worked quick between taking orders and helping with the kitchen.

I ordered two baja tacos and a cali burrito, but I opted for al pastor instead of asada.

This is the BEST Cali burrito you'll ever get. And yes, you NEED to get it with the al pastor. Asada anywhere tends to be drier than other taco meats, so here the option of al pastor added so much juiciness, flavor, texture, and overall - perfection. The burrito was HUGE too. I noticed other burritos made were fairly sized so I thought I was hungry enough for the two tacos and burrito. I was wrong. By a long shot. I forced myself to eat half the burrito simply out of enjoyment for the flavors. The fries were so crispy, plenty of fresh guac, and the salsa options paired so well (i went with the cilantro and chipotle salsas).

And thos baja tacos - WOW. I have ordered the baja tacos quite a bit from the other locations, sure they were always crispy and tasty, but the crunch on these fish pieces were insane. Even the party next to me commented saying they could hear the crunch.

I got my food about 5 minutes after sitting and it was great to sit at the kitchen "bar" to watch all the food made in...

The L Pastore was a huge disappointment, lacking flavor needed to be cooked properly and it was served with no grilled pineapple. The tortillas were excellent The fish in the fish taco was wonderful

But I had requested celiac safe no cross-contamination with wheat tortillas, So be served me well tacos undressed, Except for raw onions which I had asked for on the side.

So they got my order wrong Pastore was poorly prepared they seem understaffed didn’t follow directions but as I said the corn tortillas were excellent and fish in the fish taco was wonderful. They have potential but they need better training they need to communicate well and following directions. Their coaching staff needs better training as well if you’re going to have Pastor James specked it and do it right so they got my order wrong Pastor was poorly prepared they seem understaffed didn’t follow directions but I said the corn tortillas were excellent and wonderful. I have potential but they need better training they need to communicate bro and follow directions. The cooking staff needs better training as well if you’re going to do it on a trompo Then toast it cook it fire roasted it’s crunchy and caramelized and cut the pineapple or at least put it on the taco instead of leaving it on the Trompo as a decoration as a mc Donald’s warming rack

But again tortillas were exceptional, the fish was perfectly cooked in the salsa choices were delicious- Next time I will stick with taco Adobe...

Quick Summary A decent taco spot, but fell below my expectations of the Taco Stand. The meat and fries were great, but I was really disappointed by the tortillas. Street and lot parking available here and there around DT Orange. Food- 3.5 stars Ordered the carne asada fries, and a mix of shrimp, carne asada, pastor tacos and tacos volcan. The meat was delicious and juicy. The fries had the standard Taco Standard crunch that I've grown quite fond of. The major disappointment came with the tortillas. I always enjoyed the fresh and pillowy homemade tortillas made at the SD locations, and was disappointed when my tacos at this location had a cold and rough tortilla. Service- 5 stars They got the food out pretty quickly. Pretty easy fast casual ordering like all their locations Bottom Line The fries and the meats were good and comparable to the other locations. However, was disappointed with their tortillas, which is usually the primary reason I enjoyed visiting their SD locations when around the area

Great taco place. It's hard to spot from the street because they have little to no signage of their own. And there's another taco place that stands alone to the left of this place. Just go to the corner that GPS takes you to and walk along the sidewalk looking inside for a place with a big taco menu inside. The tacos were great. Normal size, very fresh, the carne asada was well cooked. There's a sauce bar in the back and I loved the habanero green sauce. There's also coke products (which I found wasn't that common in the area). And there's horchata on tap - though that was one thing I didn't think was amazing; the horchata was a bit thin for my liking. On the same trip we went to a place in the area that serves $10 tacos (each) and it wasn't even 1/10th of the quality of the ones we got here. The chips and nachos portions were big enough to feed a family of four. Love it.

Ordered a pastor burrito and shrimp burrito. The flour tortillas are good quality. The stuff they add into the burritos are okay but the prices are pretty cheap here I'd sayfor burritos . I don't like they don't offer regular burritos with just meat, rice, beans, onions, cilantro. All the salsa are unique and good to try. I didn't like there was hardly no flavor to the pastor meat definitely needed salsa to give it flavor maybe its because its more of a white neighborhood they don't add too many spices? Idk but they also don't offer fresh aguas frescas they only have sugared fake Jamaica and horchata. They add plenty of meat in the burritos I had added rice and beans I dont recommend it the beans weren't as soft and the rice felt very mushy. Okay experience but wouldn't try again. Id look for more of a better mexican food spot
