We stopped here for lunch at 12:30 on a Saturday. Very clean, trendy, and upscale interior. We were able to get a seat quickly. Pricing on the menu is on par with restaurants like Firebirds apps range from $8-19, entrees $18-30, they do have sandwiches in the $10-15. My party ordered the cheese and bacon sampler, shrimp and scallops risotto, and chicken piccata. It took roughly 48 mins to get our cheese/bacon plate which featured 3 cheeses, bacon, fruit, honey comb and crostini. I could not recommend this for $18. Small portions and the bread tasted like propane (I believe the gas mix on their grill is too rich resulting in the poor flavor). The bacon was also gritty and burned in some places. The entrees arrived shortly after about 8 mins after the appetizer but the kitchen gave us the choice to hold until we were ready. My entree was the shrimp and scallop risotto which sounded excellent. Traditional pairing for risotto lovers. The dish included risotto, spinach, asparagus, peas, corn, 4 good sized scallops, 6 shrimp small, panko/parmesan. The scallops and shrimp were cooked excellently. Very tasty could not ask for better preparation. The risotto suffered the fate of many a risotto, over cooked and a bland sauce. I could not detect much creaminess in the sauce and it felt thin and bland. I would not order this again. My wife had the chicken piccata and enjoyed it. She said everything tasted well and it was a good portion. Overall I liked the restaurant and will try again, I'm chalking this up to an off day.

Updated 12/29/2024: Today we did the wine tasting and had dinner. The wine tasting was great, the waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. Dinner was just okay, we sat at a table in the bar area. The table was dirty and we waited quite a bit to be greeted and to ask someone to wipe down the table. Mrs. Mary was the first person we encountered and she took care of it for us. When our server came over, we ordered pear drops which did not taste good. They were bitter so we asked for simple syrup to make it taste better, but it didn't do much. That said, I do not recommend the pear drops. We ordered surf and turf and a chicken Caesar salad. The service was extremely slow for some reason. When we got our order, the surf and turf was great, but the salad was a little dry. The entire time we were there, our server was extremely hard to find. He was very friendly, but not very attentive unfortunately. It took over 15 minutes to find him to ask for additional dressing. After I received the additional dressing, the salad was fine. Of particular note is Mrs. Mary the hostess, I just want the management team to know she was an absolute delight and she really tried to help take care of us. Don't let her go! I must mention that Mrs. Mary the server was Original Review: Had Shalonda as our server who was really friendly, knowledgeable and hilarious. Our food and drinks were very tasty and the experience was enjoyable.

UPDATE: Management has reached out to me and offered apology and some restitution. I will provide them a local charity to donate ... happy with Cooper Hawks responsiveness ... They do care about their customers and want to do tight which is always a great thing. We will return and give them another try. OLD REVIEW: We sat at a table in the bar area and waited for 15 minutes for someone, who was more interested in flirting with the table of guys, than doing her job. I was very close to going to the bar and asking for a rag and dropping off the dirty glasses that remained at our table for those 15 mins. Finally, we got the table cleared and all we really wanted tonight was a couple drinks and a light meal before going to the Rocksino. To get our order placed took another 10 minutes ... we were cordial and figured bad day, maybe busy and tried to be understanding ... but come on - hire more folks or start taking orders yourself if you're the manager. Ate, food and drink was good ... and once we were done we had to wait again, probably another 15 minutes for someone to see if we were done or wanted anything else. The food was okay, the drinks were fine ... the service - unacceptable. Best get good people, trained well. My advice, stay away until they get through their growing pains ... enjoy your day.

I would like to first start by saying I have eaten at Coopers Hawk 35+ times because we love the food and wines so much and have been members since we lived in Orlando.

On this particular trip to Coopers Hawk, we were more than dissatisfied. Food was great, wine was great but our service by won’t mention her name was terrible. The only reason I am writing this review is because I was going to speak to her manager (which I never do) but she hawked me down and asked what I was about to do. I politely told her I was going to speak to her manager about the service we received and that I still tipped her 20% on $103 even though I was not happy at all.

After speaking with the waitress I told her I was no longer going to speak with the manager and that it was ok because we got a chance to speak as I was leaving. As we were getting our 15 bottles of wine to go for our wedding I looked over and she was telling her manager about the experience from her perspective. I already told her I wasn’t going to speak to her manager which I didn’t but that made me even more upset. Below you can find a number of things that did or did not happen throughout our visit.

Lunch time and they were not busy at all in the dining area.

Did not introduce herself at the beginning. I only know her name because she told the 2 tables beside us.

Constantly gave us dumb stares and rushed off after asking a question.

We are wine club members (41.99/mo I believe) and she didn’t bother to tell us about our $50 we had saved up. Also didn’t ask if we wanted a bottle instead of 2 glasses each of wine.

Lastly but most importantly it was happy hour and I knew our check looked too high. She then questioned me like I was wrong, she looked at the menu and said I was right and then I pointed out the wines were wrongly priced and she threw it in my face because it was only saving us another 1-2 dollars. I always tip well but wow was I tempted not to. In the end I tipped a minimal 20% and left with a semi smile on my face.

I hope i never have an experience like this ever...

I usually come here and have an excellent experience but this one time, for some reason was a nightmare. I made reservations for the bar area and showed up on time. For some reason the staff seem unprepared and unwilling to seat me. I waited at the bar for almost 20 minutes for someone to clear my booth, everyone seemed like that was too much for me to ask when I started asking questions it irritated the staff I asked to speak to a manager and she approached me with a combative attitude stating that I was being rude to the staff and other customers, which was totally an absolutely false Come to find out the manager and the lady sitting all alone in the bar area that complained who was some sort of fake Kim Kardashian wanna be we’re friends, and instead of the lady at the bar minding her own business, she would not allow me to simply carry on about my personal business .after being falsely accused of harassing staff for just asking for my table and waiting for over a half an hour for one glass to be cleared from a booth after other customers came in after me and where seated the manager approached me in an aggressive manner , I felt so insulted. I simply got up and walked away. The manager made no reasonable attempt to resolve the issue. She wouldn’t even let me explain my point of view fortunately, for me , this restaurant has a 150% turnover rate and most of the hostesses servers and managers won’t be there the next time I return I’ve been there many time without any issue whatsoever, but tonight was a total embarrassment for me. thanks for Google to allow me to leave these reviews because without these platforms, people in the restaurants get to control the narratives. The bartender staff is very good but the servers and hostesses are in need of proper hospitality training for corporate owned restaurants. Also friends of managers shouldn’t be allowed to influence other customers experiences when it has absolutely nothing to...

On Saturday, 5 October we had reservations for 7 at 5:45 PM to celebrate a birthday. We were seated at 6:10 PM and we left around 8:35 PM. The service was disappointing and our expectations were mis-managed. We would have preferred being told that reservations were running 25-30 minutes behind and that service was taking X amount of time on average. The food was great with the exception that the beef medallions were requested to be done medium well were medium rare (did not raise the issue due to the turnaround times already experienced). The house-made truffles for the birthday person were a nice surprise and were well received! The waitress was personable and had a sense of humor. Over our time there, we were not visited by a manager.

Might have been an uncharacteristic experience?

The details: 5:30 PM - arrived, checked in, and were told a table will be ready in a few minutes 5:45 PM - inquired again about a table - told the manager was working on it, should be ready soon 6:00 PM - asked again about a table - again told in a few minutes 6:10 PM - seated at a table 6:15 PM - ordered drinks, told bread would be out in a minute 6:30 PM - non-alcoholic drinks were dropped off 6:38 PM - ordered entrees and told the bar was backed up 6:50 PM - wine was served (35 minutes after being ordered), told that they were out of the wine used to make the raspberry sangria that was ordered at 6:15 PM 6:58 PM - got the raspberry sangria made with a different wine 7:00 PM - soup was served 7:03 PM - bread was served (53 minutes after being seated) 7:14 PM - entrees were served (minus a salad) 7:26 PM - entree salad was served (something mentioned about the manager having been told about the issue?) 7:33 PM - extra side of mashed potatoes served that was requested at 7:14 PM 7:45 PM - dessert ordered 8:05 PM - dessert served 8:15 PM - asked for the check 8:25 PM - got check (no adjustments) and put in credit card 8:35 PM - got check...
