I had the pleasure of visiting Culinary Dropout twice recently—once for takeout and once for dine-in—and both experiences were genuinely memorable. For takeout, I tried the fried chicken, which was good, though I’d probably recommend enjoying their dishes fresh on-site for the best experience. On our return visit, we dined in, and I was absolutely impressed. The restaurant’s ambiance is stunning, with beautiful decor and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond, checking in on us frequently and making sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. We sampled a range of dishes: I had the steak frites, which was perfectly cooked, and my friends tried the katsu sandwich and the fish and chips. Every dish was flavorful and well-prepared, and the cocktails were just as delightful. They even offer free valet parking, which is a huge bonus in the often crowded Orange Circle area. In short, Culinary Dropout is a fantastic spot with delicious food, outstanding service, and a great atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

So I was going to take my husband to Culinary drop out for dinner tonight. We went and they told me at 4:15 that it would be an “unguaranteed 45 minute wait”. I said ok I’ll sit in the bar. We walked in and there were literally 9 open tables on the restaurant side and 8 more empty tables on the bar side that were not open bar seating. When I asked a waiter if I could sit at one of the tables in the bar he said no and walked us back to the same girl. When I said “there is no line and literally 17 open tables” she told me they could not seat us because there “might” be some people showing up from an online wait list. We left and ate somewhere else. I doubt we will ever return. They were incredibly rude and condescending. I don’t see them being...

Great addition to Old Towne Orange. Our table ordered ribs, fish/chips, salmon, short ribs, buttermilk fried chicken, appetizers, dessert, drinks and all were next-level delicious. Service was stellar especially considering how full the restaurant was that evening. Loved the interior and exterior features, incorporating gorgeous outdoor flames, perfectly placed TV’s, and open-air design. Prices were reasonable and portions generous. Valet parking is offered but it’s also easily walkable...
