I’ve given this place so many chances and I’m physically so angry that I keep making the same mistake. The workers all three or four of them are rude and have no customer service I’ve been stuck at the window waiting to order for 10minutes + with no acknowledgement. “Be right with you”, “one sec” “just finishing up another order”. Zero communication. Every time I’m patient and blow it off. I try making small talk attempting to save this brief interaction of ordering. Nothing in return. Fine whatever you’re at work I’m not going to judge food on service quality. I order the same thing every time, meat combo plate with the “MIX”. It’s a no pressure dish with a couple scoops of store bought rice and a sliced meat mixture. I make a note to add extra garlic sauce and hot sauce, THE MIX. Even pay extra 2dollars for it. This seems like fairly easy accommodation due to how open they are about the sauces. They have a total of three sauces. Two sauces are separate and one sauce is MIXED. Every time, every single time I DO NOT receive any sauces. It’s infuriating to have to settle with the subpar lamb, dry chicken, and store bought rice. What makes the difference is that sauce. To be let down time after time feeling absolutely bamboozled is exhausting. What should I do about this open disrespectful attitude towards the food I’m paying inflationary prices for. Well you’ve forced me to write this review. I’ve have gone multiple times for multiple years always trying to have a positive experience. From now on I’ll raise awareness for everyone who attempts to visit this cart to expect disrespect, and disappointment. I’ll make posters I’ll start a facebook group I’ll stand on the corner if I have to(location is on the corner of the lot). I hope to see you leave Oregon city and find peace somewhere far, far away and to never own, operate, associate with another food cart for the sake of all sauce bosses you’ve disappointed...
Read moreAs you can clearly see from other reviews, this guy should not be in a customer service position, and the food wasn't impressive either. I ordered a burger with no tomatoes.. The tomatoes they put on anyway, were like a salsa. It was diced and liquidy. Meaning I couldn't just take them off. It also had pickles that were not requested. Both of these things are not a big deal, until you consider the customer service (or lack thereof) that we received. My friend ordered fries with his food. I also ordered fries, as it was part of a meal that I paid for. When my friend went up to get the food, he was told that they were out of fries, but that it's okay because he didn't charge us for his. That's odd - why was my order $32 for a burger with fries and one other item then? It doesnt take an accountant (though I am one) to realize this man was lying straight to my friends face. Not to mention the portion of fries we did actually get, was maybe half of the regular. What makes me the most irritated is, I'm pretty cool with a simple mistake(s). Whatever, we can talk about it and reach a resolution. But when you close your stand the very second my friend walks away, making sure I can't say a word about it or get a refund? That's exactly why you have the reviews you have. You run, instead of owning up to your decisions as a business owner and making it right with your customers. I mean, what would making it right have cost this business owner? $6-$8?I'm so glad I could support a local business with my $32 tonight, but rest assured it will be the last dollar of mine this...
Read moreI was in the mood for a great gyro, falafel, and lamb kufta this evening with my wonderful partner. Unfortunately Shawarma Express Halal did not impress. At about $13 a gyro I would expect to have a made in house pita, proper tziki sauce, and moist meat/falafel. Instead we got store bought pita served cold so when it folded it broke into a bunch of peices, a white sauce with no flavor, and super dry overcooked falafel and kufta. The only way I could make the food edible is when I took it home and made a homemade yogurt sauce with garlic, lemon zest, and dill and generously applied it to the dry meat and falling apart pita. I will never recommend this food truck to anyone and this is an insult to proper cooking techniques. Plus the staff was unfriendly. DO NOT...
