SIZZLING TANDOORI HUT — Restaurant in Oregon City

I only ordered Masala French fries (fries with a no meat gravy), the gentleman was curt and I already felt like an inconvenience to him. We sat down, our food from the Korean and BBQ carts came out, ate our meals and were ready to leave, and the fries had still not come out (about 20/25 minutes). My husband went back with our clicker, said, don’t worry about the fries, please just refund the $10. He asked for a refund 3 times, the gentleman admitted he had forgotten the fries, but that the fries took 20 minutes to make, and we had only waited 20 minutes. Rudely told my husband he wouldn’t refund and then proceeded to whip the fries up on the spot (I thought they took 20 minutes???), and sent them home with us. Dude. Just admit your mistake and make it right with the customer. Don’t lie to me that french fries take 20 minutes and make us feel like we’re crazy. The man running the cart was very nice. Sadly, that's where the positives end. The food was horrible. We got butter chicken with rice, salad, and naan. The naan was so salty, hard, and chewy in a bad way. The rice was dry and flavorless. The salad was warm and extra wet. The worst was the butter chicken. It was so runny and a red as a fire truck. It had a bitter, chemical taste, which I assume is from all the red dye. It was also quite obvious the food was reheated in the microwave as the sauce was boiling but the middle of the chicken was cold. We only took a few bites and couldn't finish it. I thought my partner should've asked for a refund, but he didn't want to be mean since the man at the cart was so nice. Sorry, nice man, but that food was some of the worst...

We are regulars at this food truck. My 5 yr old and I have the same thing every time we go, #8 with a side of garlic naan bread. My daughter calls it “red sauce and bread.” I love the whole thing, but the garlic naan bread is my favorite part. My daughter loves to dip the bread in the sauce.

I saw some other comments on here that were pretty rough. I have been eating Indian food for over 20 years. This food truck may not be the most authentic but they are in Oregon City and trying to make food they think we will enjoy. Personally, I think the food is great and the owner and his staff are always so nice to talk to. I enjoy supporting businesses of good people, so that’s a bonus.
