Good donuts, not very friendly though. For how expensive the donuts are at least say thank you. As a person of color the vibe was a little weird when I was in there. Hard to explain but it just was. The staff just stares at you without saying anything, no greeting just being scanned. I really liked my hot chocolate but you definitely feel a coldness in the store. Not in temperature but the vibe. I probably won’t go back. I bought a lot of doughnuts too. I promise people of color aren’t scary. We like donuts just like anyone else. :)
Learn to build relationships with everyone not just people who look like you. You will thrive more as a business if you can set your biases aside and be grateful that people are buying your product which is higher priced than the average donut. Not sure what you are afraid of…. I noticed another customer gave a similar rating. Usually donuts shops are a happier vibe with friendly staff. You are selling treats that are supposed to warm the heart and soul. Put your heart into it so it doesn’t feel like such a sterile transaction and learn to see people as simply what they are people. Give people an experience so they want to come back and tell the world about your donuts. You have a lot of potential.
Look at everyone as someone who can help your business grow. You don’t have to tell me your life story, but a simple smile, less staring, and a thank you go a long way. Why don’t you say hi, I went in with all of my kids and they were really excited to eat your donuts but I wasn’t comfortable enough to stay and eat mine inside. All money in this economy is good money regardless of what people look like. Most assumptions we have about people are usually wrong. Remember that. I think this business has a lot of potential and...
Read moreAlright people, listen up. This place needs to be granted special government permission to monopolize the doughnut and beignet market because it might solve interpersonal conflict amongst Americans- ITS THAT GOOD! Who knows what other problems these perfectly textured doughnuts could solve?? I’m telling you seven times seventy times- if you try the yeast-raised, vanilla-glazed doughnut it’ll convince you it’s the first time you’ve truly tasted. Period. If you get the blueberry cake doughnut you’ll negotiate moving in closer proximity to Orem because clearly the blueberries there have evolved to a higher state of blueberry-consciousness and achieved divine flavor-harmony. In fact, I started getting suspicious that we DO live in a simulation because it’s a day later and I STILL can’t wrap my head around the perfection of their Classic Old Fashion: The subtle hit of nutmeg.. the heat from, but subdued flavor of, cinnamon.. was like a loved one that’s passed away visits you in a daydream. It was the taste of closure; of peace. Peace that the hustle is over. I have found the perfect doughnut. The best confectionery isn’t in New York City, Paris, or Tokyo -no- it’s in Orem, UT at Bismarck Doughnuts and we should all be grateful. I am. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I only wish I could do more. I wish I was an influencer or famous chef so I could raconteur to a masses. But what I can offer is my sincerest review. In absolute earnestness, these doughnuts are special. Most...
Read moreBismarck Doughnuts is a delightful surprise that my wife and I stumbled upon after a chance encounter with the owner, Chris, at an angel investor event. Our curiosity led us to pay a visit, and it was an experience worth sharing.
Upon entering the cozy doughnut shop, we were greeted by the warm aroma of freshly baked treats. Chris, the owner, was there and took the time to share his inspiring story with us. His passion for doughnuts and dedication to his craft shone through as he spoke, setting the stage for a memorable visit.
We decided to sample a variety of doughnuts, including some cake doughnuts, which I'm not typically a fan of. To our delight, every bite was a burst of flavor and perfection. The cake doughnuts at Bismarck Doughnuts completely won me over. They were wonderfully moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet.
What impressed us the most, aside from the delectable doughnuts, was the genuine hospitality and passion that Chris and his team bring to their business. They create a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like a valued guest.
Our visit to Bismarck Doughnuts was a testament to the power of community, entrepreneurship, and a love for quality pastries. We left with smiles on our faces and a desire to return for more of those fantastic doughnuts.
If you're in the area or passing through, Bismarck Doughnuts is a must-visit. The exceptional doughnuts, combined with the warm and friendly service, make...
