We’ve had poor experiences the last three times we have been at this location because of uncomfortable and unprofessional encounters with the same employee. Tonight we arrived before close to grab a few small things before heading home. We asked for a few hot chocolates and some donut sticks. After ordering it took 20+ minutes to get our stuff. (Which didn’t bother us. We were just waiting and talking.) It was 12:08 and we were finishing our food that we had just received moments before and this particular employee came out and said “We’re closed.” And so we said ok! And nodded and assumed that we could no longer order. We continued to drink our hot chocolate and not even three minutes later he came back and said “We are closed. You need to leave. My manager said that I’m going to have to call the Orem police.” So we were shocked at this point. He could have said “Hey guys! The lobby is closing so if you guys can be out of here within the next five minutes that’d be great. Thanks! Have a great night!” I would at least expect my hot coco to not take 20 minutes to be made. I think that would be the bare minimum.
I actually wait tables at Red Lobster in Orem and was truly appalled at this employee’s behavior. I’ve never seen someone act like this and still have a job. Like I said, it has been several occasions where this employee has been rude, messed up our orders and been entirely rude to us while we struggle to get someone to fix the mistake, and this situation tonight was the last straw. I would much rather drive the 10+ minutes to get my orders correct, quickly, and be spoken to respectfully. It is common knowledge that this particular employee is a jerk and I can easily count on my two hands the number of people who purposefully avoid this particular McDonalds location at night because of...
Read moreI'm a regular to Mcdonalds, I just love those darn big macs so much! I dont know how they do it, create such a fine juicy burger and put it on a mouthwatering bun and just satisfy my tummy. This experience was much different than the norm. I ordered in the drivethru this friday evening One diet coke 2 big macs ( i was extra hungry) and a large french fry. The drive thru attendant was practically yelling at me like they were deaf or something. I had to tell them what i ordered 3 times over. and even after all that mess i received a chocolate shake i didn't even order. I hate chocolate! my father who passed away used to eat chocolate all the time and work at a chocolate factory and it was an insult to my family line. The "cashier" didnt care at all and said sorry we are busy i can help you if you come in. I had my heated seats on and i really didn't feel like getting out. I ALWAYS eat in my car. my suv has 2 cup holders and i find it really efficient to use one for frys and one to hold my drink. When did the cashiers at McDonald get so bossy? Isnt it my decision if i want to eat in my car or inside? I also got a stomach ache a few hours later and i think the chef must have gave me some sort of moldy patty or something because that was not easy to shake off.. I drank a lot of water and i didnt even feel better. this experience was completely unacceptable and i cant believe one of the high class fast food restaurants (mcdonalds, bk , kfc, subway) would hire incompetent employees. How would you like this to happen to you if you were hungry? 2 stars because i really like big macs and I know you can do better...
Read moreThe place is brand new. The food is the same as other McDonalds. The staff were perfectly fine. So why the 1 star review?
In one word - Management.
Any other McDonalds will accept paper coupons, but the manager of this one decided to not accept them. OK, a bit odd, but whatever.
What is unacceptable is the manager changing the PRICES of the menu items. A Sausage Biscuit that I can get at any other McDonalds is on the dollar menu. Here, they changed it to $1.50. While a .50 raise doesn't SEEM much, that is a whopping 50% price increase. For poor people like me, that's paying for 3 Sausage Biscuits and getting 2.
Other customers who have left reviews have stated similar things, such as charging a dollar for a water. Not honoring promotions that literally EVERY OTHER McDonalds in the surrounding area are doing. Charging extra for sauce when no other McDonalds in the area does. The list goes on.
Sure, it's a brand new building. Sure, it has fancy new screens when you order. But the food is THE SAME QUALITY as the ANY OTHER McDonalds, and should NOT be charging more.
This is not a one-off thing. The staff, when asked about the price change, said that the manager does these kind of changes "all the time", including changing the price of menu items to be more expensive than other McDonalds.
Dear manager, to you I give the following advice: Get off your high horse. I for one will no longer be going to your location, because I don't want any more "surprises" when I order my food. If you are smart and don't want to lose more customers, you will stop...
