Potbelly — Restaurant in Orion Charter Township

I gave it 4 (almost a 3) becsuse often times (like this evening) they are out of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. I'd understand if I went close to closing but at 6pm I feel more should be made if you realize you are running low early. Secondly, no salad but again I said that's okay. Then lastly, my order was incorrect. I called and simply let them know there was an error and that I just want to come back up and get the correct sandwich. I brought the wrong one back with me to show I wasn't making it up and because I don't want it either. In return I received the correct sandwich with a "sorry". I appreciate the employee apologized but I feel given that I had to drive back up there and was very cordial and polite about it that more could have been done from the restaurants side. People shouldn't have to yell and scream to get something. Heck, when I managed in the food industry those were the people I wanted to help the least. It was the ones who were kind about the matter that I went above and beyond for. It doesn't have to be anything crazy but a nice gesture goes a long way. Like sorry, here's a card for a free cookie next time, or a free drink, or chips, or if you want to go bigger, a free sandwich. Sandwhiches come with meat and cheese, owner Told me to add a side to my sandwich. So I asked for cold slaw then owner complained saying he's never put cold slaw on sandwhiches before. Said he could give it to me as a side and I could put it on myself... I told him the other pot belly in Berkley did it for me and he said he didn't care... But if I wanted to make my own sandwich I would have just went home... Right? Makes sense. So then we received our food and the owner made the sandwhiches. We still thanked them for trying their best even When no effort was made. My husband and I reached home and bit into our sandwiches to find only ONE peice of meat and ONLY ONE PEICE OF CHEESE! He literally only put 1 peice of meat on the sandwich and 1 CHEESE.. All that we could taste was cold bread that he did not grill properly. Terrible customer service, I walk in and first thing I notice is an employee shoving her face with food!!!!! Disgusting! Secondly the guy who took our sandwich orders (3 tky's & a Mediterranean) wasn't a clean cut guy, but also made me and my husband feel as if we were being rushed, he kept asking was that all for us today?!! As we pay for our food which I feel was Decently priced the cashier girl was rude as ever when asking what we ordered and I didn't know what the turkey sandwiches were called(tky's) she had sharp artificial witch nails and they definitely fit her personality. Although our experience here was rough, the food was very good and were warm & toasted with a great amount of toppings. I probably won't return to this location but I can't see myself traveling to the one on telegraph or Troy just to get a sandwich when I live by Great Lakes crossing.
