I went in with a group of friends, and me and one of my friends decided to spilt a lunch special. Which was the shrimp and crab $25.99 because we were not that hungry. We also purchased an appetizer of hush puppies and a happy hour margarita and a sprite. The food was great! But when the bill came we saw that we were charged for the $50 dinner portion. We were very confused and hesitant to say something to our server because we felt bad. But once we had seen that other people at the table were charged for things that they did not order as well as she had double charged someone’s card by mistake. Our server came back with a nasty attitude and kind of shouted that someone did not pay there bill. Again we were very confused because had we all handed her cash or a card. At that point we decided say something about our bill and she replied with “well that is not what you ordered” even though the rest table heard me say the $25.99 lunch special and she repeated it back to me. So at that point we decided to speak to a manager to see if there was anything she could do for us. Basically the manager said that we already ate it, which I completely understand but I did not want a free bill, I just wanted to be charged the $25.99 portion that I asked for. Also to add I have never been here before so I did not know the portion sizes and I was shocked when I received the bill and saw that it was double. I was very respectful to both the manager and the server because i understand mistakes happen. All they offered was a 10% discount. I am very upset about my experience here because nothing was done to compensate us, if your server is a middle aged women with a lot of tattoos, ask for a different one. Do not go here. I am a server myself so I understand things happen but there also was a 15% automatic gratuity and based on how she treated us I was not planning on leaving more than $5 for her. Which made me upset that I was forced to give a full tip on top of my money basically...
Read moreI've been craving a seafood boil lately and a friend recommended we try this place. The building is really cute outside and inside! There's also a little playground outside. We walked in without reservations and were seated right away. We got our drinks and apps fairly quickly as well. We really liked the cute fishbowl cocktail. It was evenly mixed and tasted great! I had a few questions about how portions worked compared to weight and our server was easily able to answer without getting too technical. We did not have to wait long at all to get our food either. The seafood boils came out in a tied bag on a tray and a trash can, bibs, gloves, a shell cracker, and shell splitter were given to us for ease of eating. As soon as we poured those bags onto our trays our mouths were watering. It looked so good and it tasted even better. We both got the A+ seasoning which is all of their seasonings mixed together and we liked it a lot. My sister got it with a medium spice level and said she didn't taste much spice as if it was a mild spice level like what I got but still tasted good. The seafood was fresh as well. I loved the snow crab legs and they were decently sized too. It wasn't too loud inside and not too busy for a Friday night and we enjoyed ourselves a lot. Everything was decently priced and the bathrooms were fairly clean as well. Overall we liked the place a lot and would...
Read moreMy husband and I ate here for the first time on February 24. Hadn't eaten at the location since it was Joe's Crab Shack. Will definitely say....we were NOT disappointed. We decided to split the Deadly Hungry bag. We added black mussels to it. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the crawfish, but that's just me. We got all the seasonings into it, and got it medium spicy for me. My husband asked for a little container of the really spicy sauce for himself.
EVERYTHING was super yummy. Only used one of the gloves once or twice. If you're going to get messy and enjoy something, you might as well get your hands messy. Our server was Jasmine, and she was just awesome and fun to talk to.
Definitely recommend splitting the bags. If there is anything you want to add to the bags, you can. We brought all our scraps home, as my husband is making stock with them and then soup and another yummy dish. We will DEFINITELY be going back! Highly recommend! 🙂🙂🙂
I wish they had the tiny forks for getting grab out of the shell though. We might have to bring our own next time for easier crab removal.
Our ONLY complaint was the plastic bags that they came in. It is just such a waste of plastics. We would much rather have things served in a pot or a big metal bowl. It would just be more cost efficient down the road, and less plastic that goes...
