This is the worst homegoods in Michigan. The back room manager, who I believe is actually named Karen, is true fitting of that name. I’ve been in there several times searching for Rae Dunn items. Almost all of the employees are incredibly rude, unfriendly, and generally just never seem to enjoy their job, and take it out on the customers. I’m a paying customer and am there multiple times a week. I chose this location because it’s closest to my house but I will never return and will be filing a BBB complaint as well.
I was there with some girls I had met through shopping the same store, and the back room manager (I believe Karen), several times very loudly makes rude comments about why we are there and loudly tells other employees “well there nothing new and I’m not unloading this truck today so they can stand here all day” (for the record, we don’t stand there all day, lol)
Today I was in there and decided I was done feeling uncomfortable walking through the doors of that store. I said good morning to an employee who usually rolls her eyes at me and whispers to other employees. She did say good morning back today.
On my way out today, Karen was walking down the furniture aisle and made a comment (very loudly again), “I don’t know why they come, they always think we have something new or something”. And I finally had it in me to say “you don’t have to be so rude”, and I was not rude about it, but she snapped back at me and insisted she was talking about furniture. We know that’s not the case because almost everyone at that store this morning was looking for Rae Dunn.
Even if I wasn’t looking for Rae Dunn, their entire staff would make me not want to shop there. I’ve been holding back on this review for months and today...
Read moreI almost never leave poor reviews but my experience here was so bad I felt like I had to. This homegoods location is an absolute cluttered MESS. I couldn’t even turn my cart around without running into things and knocking things over, it happened 3 different times! I was willing to get over that part until I ended up buying a dog bed and when I got to the register the woman (older, blonde, short hair) who seemed nice at first asked me what kind of dog I had. I told her I had a pitbull (who is super sweet to everyone) her attitude changed COMPLETELY and she spent the rest of the transaction talking smack about my dog for no reason! What kind of customer service is that?! I drove 30 miles because this is the nearest homegoods location but I’ll make an even longer trip to never come back to this...
Read moreThe store manager is terrible. I was in there with my mother and we were looking at house plants. I had two pulled out and comparing them and the manager came up and grabbed one and put it away. I told her that I was looking at it and she rolled her eyes at me and walked away. I tried to locate her but she hide in the back. I was told that her name is Heidi but then later found out that was incorrect and her name is Cruela. Who knows if that is correct but she's blond with curling hair at over 50. Very rude. In a day that online shopping is growing, the focus on customer service should be your #1 priority. Needless to say I won't be purchasing...
