Buckle up, because I have never had to write one of THESE. This place was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I know everyone has off days, but this was more than that. Attended an event there last weekend. The bar was busy, so we had hope. We were warned that the kitchen was running 30/40 min to get food out. We thought nothing of it, as there were plenty of open tables. 4 of us ordered our food - only 3 of us were served. My meal, didn't come until everyone else was done eating and I was told "We're sorry, but your meal ended up at the bottom of the list." I'm sorry, what?! Nobody's meal came as ordered. My husbands loaded fries were like a brick wall. They had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for some time before they were served. Then the mess of checks. 4 people - 3 separate checks requested. Let me be clear as well, nothing crazy - we each had a beverage and an entrée - this should not have been hard. My meal was comped - so that just left 3 to manage! The server was kind, but didn't seem to know what was going at any time. I can without a doubt say that we will not be dining there on...
Read moreWish I could give zero stars. Came here with 6 people, not impressed at all. The restaurant was completely empty except for one person sitting at the bar. There were two bartenders working and what seemed to be a manager in the front. Manager was friendly and sat us, and then the bartender asked us to sit at the bar instead because there were no servers on. It was 6 PM on a Friday night, why wouldn’t there be a server? We were hesitant and she obviously noticed because she rudely said “I can tell you guys don’t want to sit at the bar I’ll be right back to get your drink order.” It was just a very unwelcoming atmosphere in general. There’s a 20% auto gratuity for groups of six or more there so it’s just weird that no one wanted to take our table make money and at least attempt to give us good service. I work in the service industry and have a lot of patience at restaurants but I was bringing my boyfriend out for his birthday with all our friends and that was our first stop in Dezerland. Definitely put a damper on our entire experience at the...
Read moreHad to come back to see for consistency. Round 2 - still a great experience. Asked for Shaun again - this time had spinach dip - so cheesy and had lots of spinach was surprisingly was super creamy. Served with soft but nicely toasted pita triangles. Kids had a mushroom and Swiss burger - they loved it and the other kid had chicken finger with Truffle fries. The truffle fries with the spinach dip, I’d do that combo again. Chicken tender were standard but served hot and fresh. Lastly we order the pesto chicken - light dish but filling. So tasty. We would order all the items again.
Again restrooms were clean, table was clean, nice music. No complaints, just a really good spot if you are in the museum or walking around Dezerland on a rainy day.
Next I will try the pizzas or one of the...
