Fantastic option for a Universal/Disney vacation.
Room was clean, spacious, and well-appointed with the full kitchen. Rotating TV between the sitting area and the bed, while it seems simple, should honestly be standard - it was incredibly handy to rotate it where needed, and it had a great selection of channels. The bed and pillows were comfy enough and the AC worked like a dream keeping everything comfortable. The only thing missing in the bathroom to make it the perfect room was a tub, but we were perfectly content without one and it of course may be a feature in some of the other rooms available.
My only minor critiques regarding the room would be some of the fittings were loose/falling off the wall, for example the bathrooms towel holder and the security lock on the front door. The lighting was somewhat odd as well with a master switch controlling some - but not all - of the lights, and a similar master switch that said to keep on during occupancy but we couldn’t figure out what it did. Lastly, the bathroom tissue paper holder was very awkwardly positioned with the toilet.
The service and staff were both equally perfect. Check in and out process was very easy and friendly, and our kitchen was restocked as we used the provided dishes and utensils. I was somewhat questioning if the dishes would be removed during housekeeping as - truthfully - I haven’t used a dishwasher in a long time, nor did we bring any pods, but to my delight they indeed were. They did not restock the spoons one day, but it was not a big deal.
The complimentary breakfast was a godsend and it lived up to the hype. I could not imagine having to worry about where to eat breakfast everyday. They had scrambled eggs and a rotating schedule of different proteins and sides; bacon, sausage, potatoes, hashbrowns, pancakes, waffles, etc., as well as bread, bagels, fruit, and yogurt. They had a small juice machine as well, although I did not enjoy the orange juice. The hours for the breakfast were sufficient and they made sense given the hours of the theme parks, and a lot of people took advantage of it early to get a head-start for the day.
Two areas of improvement could be the pool and the shuttle to the theme parks. It would be nice if the pool was open later to be able to use it after coming back from the parks (it is currently open from dawn to dusk, which are uncertain times as it is). And while we had a rental car for this exact reason; the shuttle only departs and arrives at set times in the morning and the evening, first come first serve, and only to Universal to my knowledge. If you want to arrive earlier or stay later than the shuttle, or if you are going to Disney, you do need to find an alternative. It would be much better if it ran continuously during peak times in the morning/evening at the least.
With that said, the location is perfect for both Universal and Disney, with complimentary parking, both of which were determinate factors in choosing this hotel.
All in all it was a perfect stay and I couldn’t have asked for more. We would definitely consider staying here again when planning another...
Read moreIt was my 1st time here and it was by accident. The accident turned out being great over all. I have stood at the other Hyatt location before by universal studios. Which is what I had thought I did this time again. Over all the stay here was just as pleasant. The staff was nice & welcoming. The only issue I did have was a little argument with a worker there when I tried to purchase tooth paste. I wanted to pay for it up front like I can at the other location but the lady said there wasn't a way that she can charge me separately for that and it needed to be billed to the room. Arguing about that was crazy to me cause when I checked out I had my balance to pay for the tooth paste & I asked the other worker if I was able to pay for it right then that night& she said yes and she didn't know why that lady Gave me such a hassle about that. So that's the only issue I had. & as far as the room. So cozy & clean. The shower door was broken in our room so that was a bummer for the time being but the manager got in touch with me & said he spoke to maintenance & they fixed it. So awesome! He sent me a email thanking me for my stay & feedback. So this is definitely a new location we added to ours favs list& will be back next year. They give complimentary breakfasts buffets every morning. The gym has the perfect amount of workout equipment & dumbbells. The space is decent. The gym is a big deal to me so I was happy I was able to utilize it every morning. The elevator situation is just a lot in the mornings when it's busy & maybe the staff can have a separate elevator. I had to stop on almost every floor with the workers and their baskets in the mornings before I got downstairs to the gym. So it was just a little inconvenient for how small the elevators are & the amount of traffic that passes daily. It took a very long time to go up & down. Other wise I loved it and I can't wait to stay here again. Thanks...
Read moreAtrocious customer service. I stopped at the hotel on my way to a hospital in south Florida for medial treatment. I checked into an ADA room with an ESA certified dog. There were bell carts and Luis said there’s no bellman but you can use the carts. He didn’t offer to have anyone help me. So I loaded up all my stuff myself, brought it up along with my dog. Then maybe a hour later I call down and ask how much it’s going to be to extend my stay. He says you can do it through hotels.com or through the front desk. I call back 10 minutes later and say I’m too confused by this online app can you just do it yourself? He says yes, but you have to come downstairs so I can get your credit card. I said, I’m ill. I cannot keep going up and down and loading all this stuff. So I go downstairs and the lady has to fill out an entirely new reservation, so I sit yet again. I’m telling them this is bad customer service and not accommodating at all especially considering that I told you I’m ill. Luis asked me if he should call the parademics and I said, “No! You don’t need to call the paramedics. You’re escalating the situation unnecessarily. I’m telling you I’m ill because you have shown little consideration for someone with disabilities. I’m trying to go to extend my stay so that I can rest so that I can drive to the hospital. So instead of trying to help, Luis goes we’re not extending your stay. What’s even more ridiculous is the hotel has been open for like five months and this is May 2025 during economy fiasco so the hotel was dead empty. I pointed this out to Luis and the rest of the front desk team when I told all how truly disappointed I am in their accommodation of people with medical disabilities. May be fine for some people or families, but don’t go here if you have a disability and need special...
