Said food item was $16, didn’t say that croissant and chips cost extra $3 for that- could’ve done without the chips if knew they were extra. Despite that, was given salad (which might’ve been free?), yet still charged for chips. Food took more than an hour to get to us, yet all we ordered was a crepe and croissant sandwich. Given a truffle in the middle of the wait but I mean, doesn’t make up for that fully. The menu doesn’t have prices which was super cool. No clue how much we were spending, had to ask for pricing which is kind of an inconvenience. Had we known that the service would be the way it was we probably would’ve eaten elsewhere, but at that point we were already seated. Food was fine, could’ve gotten it at the farmers market for the same price but for a 10th of the wait. The service wasn’t really good at all, not nearly good enough to warrant the wait/prices. I hate to complain about anything, but it was pretty disappointing! We waited maybe 10ish minutes for them to pick up the bill (we went to the cashier to pay and they asked us to sit back down, so we did) and as I write this review I’m still waiting for them to charge my card, which has been an extra few minutes for no reason. It’s not busy! Just now as I’m leaving came the lunch rush, but while we were waiting for our food there was maybe two other tables that were being used. I took a picture on the freeway at 11:05 which is maybe a 10 minute drive away, which means that I got there around 11:20. I am now leaving at almost 1PM involuntarily and I just want to leave at this point. I'm a food service worker and know completely what they have to go through, but even in the lunch/dinner rush, I never treated guests this way- let alone when the restaurant wasn't busy.
EDIT: after reading the negative reviews about this place I 100% agree with their...
Read moreMy friend and I came to this establishment for a quick brunch. Our waiter had us follow him to one of the small tables by the window and had us stand there while he cleared it. He did not wipe the table down but proceeded to ask us if we wanted him to after we were seated. There were water rings and food crumbs so we said yes, like obviously (?). The menu did not have any prices so we had to ask before he began taking our orders. Upon asking, he immediantly became rude but we brushed it off. We waited for OVER AN HOUR for our food to come out. It was literally just a sandwich and a crepe. We noticed that people who were coming in and ordering to-go orders were being prioritized. They gave us each a chocolate and some whip cream as a 'sorry about the wait' after not acknowledging us for 25 minutes. When the waiter took my order, he asked me if I wanted a salad or chips on the side of my sandwich. He did not mention that the chips I had chosen would be an additional $2 or that the bread I had chosen would be an additional $1 even though I was building my own sandwich and there was only 2 options of bread. Not sure if I would still have been charged if I had chosen the other bread. Whatever. I got a salad when I asked for chips. The food was good, just not worth the price. We tried to go up to the register and pay but the waiter insisted on bringing our bill to the table and checking us out there so we sat back down and waited another 15-20 minutes to get the bill, have him pick it up from our table and then get our cards and receipts back. Overall, terrible service due to our absent and moody waiter and the ridiculously...
Read moreAttentive, timely service. Impeccably clean. Everything I have ordered there has the most amazing texture/flavor/presentation. This is somewhere I go when I want my taste buds to dance with joy! I have been several times, and consistently have had amazing food and service. My favorite brunch spot in ALL of Orlando.
The crab cake Benedict, and the bakery cakes are my FAV. (I have so much more to try) The champagne is yummy and most of the food is ORGANIC. They have their foods free of artificial colors and dyes and that means a LOT to me. Their orange juice is FRESH squeezed.
If you are expecting breakfast food similar to American Diner THIS IS NOT THE PLACE for you. This place serves DELICIOUS rich and flavorful traditional french food. It is encouraged you try something outside of a typical American breakfast here and I can vouch you will not be disappointed! Be open minded and take this as an opportunity to learn about the difference in French culture and cuisine. Don’t expect a Starbucks style menu for coffee. Their coffee is simple and very good.
Recently I had the pleasure of meeting the owners. The sweetest couple who are clearly very passionate about everything in this place. And I mean everything you can tell that they put their heart and soul into every ingredient, menu items, decor, cleaning, even the bathroom amenities are impressive. (Silly, but I always dread using public bathrooms when eating out and here it’s such a relief to not worry about that here! SO clean)
Just a note as well I have a blended racial family with black, white, and also Japanese and we were treated like we were vip. Nothing...
