I had an incredibly troubling experience living at Lake House Apartments under Lincoln Property Management now Willow Bridge, and I strongly advise against renting here.
The property management staff appear to monitor residents far beyond what is acceptable. They use security cameras not just for security purposes, but to keep track of residents' movements both inside and outside of the building. I personally experienced situations where staff members would follow me around, and they seemed to be aware of my whereabouts at all times. There was also a troubling incident where my apartment key was given to a staff member after hours, and a temporary key was then provided to another resident without my consent or knowledge.
I began receiving mail from unknown people to my address, which raised concerns about the safety of my personal information, and when I reached out to the staff for help, they were unresponsive and failed to address the problem. Additionally, I was bombarded with phishing emails and messages during my stay, which suggests that my personal data may have been compromised.
In addition, I encountered multiple instances where I was unaware of when staff entered my apartment, further raising concerns about privacy and trespassing. At one point, I found out that my internet password had been shared with other individuals, and my online activity appeared to be monitored, an alarming invasion of privacy.
The staff has shared my personal information, including details from my leasing documents, with unauthorized individuals and had access to residents’ documents when printing from their machines. This is a major violation of privacy laws.
I noticed that some individuals, residents and even staff seemed to be aware of private conversations I had inside my apartment, indicating potential surveillance or eavesdropping without my consent.
During my time at this property, I was stolen from, losing more than $90,000. I suspect that the theft is directly tied to unauthorized access to my apartment, personal information sharing, and possible monitoring of my activities.
One of the most alarming incidents occurred when I was trapped inside an elevator on the day before Christmas. The property management intentionally used the elevator controls to prevent me from exiting, which feels like false imprisonment, which was a distressing experience.
Lastly, some residents neglect to clean up after their dogs, leaving waste scattered around the property.
Between the breaches of privacy, theft, and security concerns, I would strongly recommend avoiding this property and property management at all costs.
Follow-up after over a year of living there: Individuals from the building have continued to follow me, not only while I was living there, but even now that I no longer reside in the building. They’ve made it clear that they are associated with the property and have even gone so far as to create fake social media accounts to monitor me online. Living there was undoubtedly the worst decision I’ve ever made.
Even after moving out, the harassment has not stopped. Individuals linked to the building have continued to follow me, both in person and online. They’ve created fake accounts to track my activity, have littered outside my residence, and even follow me to public places, including restaurants. When I pass by with my wife, family, or friends, they deliberately gather and cough in unison, mimicking the behavior of an organized gang. Their actions appear coordinated, invasive, and strongly suggest ties to organized criminal activity.
During my trip abroad, I experienced the same pattern of harassment from these individuals. It appears to be part of a coordinated international operation.
This ongoing harassment has only reinforced what I already knew: living at this property was the worst decision I’ve ever made. For your safety, privacy, and peace of mind, I strongly urge you to stay far away from this property and...
Read moreMy unit has an amazing view, and the building construction quality is much better than other buildings in town. Since I moved here has been different management, but here is why I'm giving it 3 stars.
I moved to this location almost one year ago, (11 months ago) still no solution to the pool heater problem. I spoke with previous management and including the one in charge now. Also, other residents complained about the same issues (heated pool and concierge) responding always with the same arguments of "that are working on" It also took almost a year for the building to get a concierge, even though this had always been advertised.
As far as their advertised amenities go: -Heated pool still not working. -Smart Building Entry just not too long ago started working -Bike, Kayak & Paddle Board Storage you have to pay extra -no business center, wait it's a room on the first floor but you have to rent it separately too. So, no free like normally will be in other apartments. -Concierge & Parcel Services just now after one year available 9 am - 6 pm weeks days, weekends keep changing the time, so for deliveries, especially Uber Eats is complicated, especially that the main door ( front door is locked after office hours) and of course is closed in some holidays. -when you do the tour also mention the free coffee, well just during office hours sorry for those who like to have an early coffee or before going to work. ( just keep a coffee maker in your house or go to any coffee shop) I'm mentioning for you not to get excited about your "FREE COFFEE" every day -if you have guests they will have to use the back door or the side door that is called retail access that smells bad it seems has never been finished correctly but "Lake House at Ivanhoe" by Lincoln Property Company calls itself a "Luxury living community"
Also, I think that it is not fair to obligate a tenant to pay for a specific service such as cable and Wi-Fi that is overpriced based on the market value when some people don't even use it. That is my case. I tried to remove it and Lincoln Property Company said that I couldn't because is in the agreements.
Almost a year now it is time for renewal, and I LOVE MY LAKE AND CITY VIEW AND I don't want to deal with moving companies and all that process. I went to speak with the office manager asking if I renew my lease and can my cable and internet services be removed for my next lease agreement, and she answered looking at her computer. "for you to sign the new lease you HAVE to pay the utilities from our provider and it cannot be removed from your lease because if not we have to do it with others too. IS ALMOST 5 PM AND I HAVE TO GO. (Unprofessional)
Regarding the cable and internet, I'm not sure if these are called "monopolies" but I think obligating me to use specific Services that I don't even want or use and for me to be available to renew or extend my lease I've no choice but to continue with the services of cable and internet that I don't even use. I strongly believe this is unethical
