I was just driving by when I spotted Lil Sister’s Donut Shop, and something told me to make a quick detour. I think I’ve had their donuts at work before (the kind that magically disappear from the breakroom), but this time I wanted to try it fresh from the source.
It’s a simple, no-frills donut shop—but the quality speaks for itself. I went with the classic chocolate Long John, and it did not disappoint. Fresh, tasty, and a definite step up from the chain donut scene.
Speaking of chains—prices are comparable to Dunkin’, but the quality is way better. Like, actually-tastes-like-a-real-donut better.
My only small gripe? I had to ask about the loyalty program instead of being offered it. And while the deal seems a little… mysterious (I think it’s something like buy 19, get a dozen?), I appreciate that there’s any loyalty program at all. At the very least, they reward consistency!
All in all, Lil Sister’s is a hidden gem worth checking out. Great donuts, solid prices, and a name that makes it sound like your little sibling started a bakery empire. I’ll definitely be back—probably sooner than...
Read moreThis was my 1st time stopping by. The owners were very personable, professional, and kind. I decided I would order a dozen. And let me just say they did not disappoint. In a world full of coffee shops with dry and stale pastries or dry donuts, this donut shop stood out miles ahead of the competition, whether it is commercial companies or local home based shops. Their donuts are far from dry, and the right amount of sweet, fluffy, and the cake like donuts are amazing. My favorite is their coconut, but their double chocolate, sourcream, and long John's are all excellent options. I went around 11 am, and a lot of their stuff was sold out. I still want to try their Homer Simpson, crullers and fritters, as well as their pastries. 10 out of 10 for sure. Forget the overpriced Stan's, Starbucks, and Dunkin. Grab a cup of coffee while you are there or buy the coffee grounds, get yourself some donuts, and enjoy the start to your day. For the kids there are a variety of milk flavors, juice options and water. They also sell cookies And for your furry friends they do...
Read moreI use to go here daily before work to pick up a coconut donut, they are the only place in Oswego who has these. I noticed some clients with cards to punch when you come in for I’m guessing a free donut, I have never been offered one of these cards so maybe the are just for friends and family. Lately whenever I go in, of course there is a line so no worries, but every time I’m there they see you walk in it’s a small place, but I’m usually the only woman of color in the line, some one says can I help who is next, mind you I have made eye contact with the group behind the counter, I’m the one standing in front of the donut counter waiting patiently for my turn and they say can I help who’s next, usually someone from behind me says she was here first, so I say thank you and proceed to order. I am not the only person of color who shops here I’m just saying when I get there I am the only person of color in the line. But it is what it is. Guess if I want great customer service I will learn how to make my own coconut donuts. Have...
