We started with C1 Combo Special, which the waitress assured us would be enough for four people. For the Beef Short Ribs, they gave us a huge bone with no meat. When we asked about it, she said, “That’s how it is.” I also asked if the banchan (side dishes) were unlimited, and she said we’d have to pay for more. Later, another waitress came by and offered a free banchan refill. The Ribeye wasn’t marbled but was surprisingly juicy. The Prime Beef Rib was well marbled. The Brisket, Ribeye Cap, and Shrimp were also good in this set. In the end, we weren’t full and ordered C5 Combo Special. It came with Marinated Pork Shoulder, Marinated Spicy Pork Shoulder, and Pork Belly, all of which were really good.
The interior is nice, with a modern Korean BBQ vibe. It was a bit pricey at around $45 per person. However, the meats were more tender than what you get at most all-you-can-eat spots. The staff should tell you which cut is which when they bring your order. Honestly, we were just unlucky because our initial waitress was not helpful at all. Maybe she was having a bad day, as she also spilled a bunch of water on our table while...
Read moreI recently went to Choga and had their bbq and I was craving it so much just days later I decided to go somewhere closer. First off this place is very clean and having this place be a BBQ is a wonderful decision and very much needed in the area. The place filled up quickly, we went at 5 on a Saturday. The service was rather slow ( slow for refills of water and sides) I account that to them being understaffed. The atmosphere is great for family's and friends gathering. Now on to the food. We had the combo number 3 with 4 different meats and an assortment of fermented traditional Korean sides. The meat was fresh and the sides were just okay. No lettuce wraps or radish wraps for the meat like Choga had. Pretty basic offerings in my opinion. At Choga they keep bringing you sides and soups and egg souffle and cheesy corn and more meat. The meat at Choga is seasoned as the meat here is not (as far as I could tell). Overall I would recommend Choga but this place is...
Read moreI have gone twice to this restaurant over the past two months. As far as Korean restaurants are concerned this is the best I have tried between Junction City Kansas thru central Missouri. As someone that has worked in a American Korean Restaurant before and lived in Korea for 3+ years I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Staff is kind and is thorough in their explanation in the process. They provide good recommendations and service. The meat is excellent and well marinated, the kimchee is on point and Tteok-bokki is as good as any street vendor in Korea. Two minor nitpicks I have are that I wish they offered lettuce leaves and red pepper paste with the BBQ (maybe they had them but I didn't see it and it didn't come with out meal either time), and there is no Gimbap (perhaps they sell it next door but this is my favorite Korean Appetizer and a good introduction food for those not familiar to Korean Food). Regardless try this Restaurant out and you wont be...
