Panera Bread — Restaurant in Mission

This location is really going down hill. The last few times that I've been inside, my visit was below average to say the least. It was 6:30 pm on a Saturday, only a handful of customers were inside, and the store was not clean, not stocked, and had a new cashier who us still learning. I had a carry out order, asked for NO croutons on my Caesar salad, extra cheese and please mix it. Also ordered the baked potato soup, both with baguettes and an extra baguette. That's it. I get my order, first thing I notice, my warm bowl of soup is on top of my salad box, on the sullifane, of course it fell thru. Then No extra baguette, my salad was not mixed and had croutons on it. I hand it back and ask them to please remake my order the way I asked for it and to please put my soup in an extra sack. I was not rude and said "I understand the cashier seems new, and maybe didn't put some things in correctly" The guy didn't say a word to me yet but has an attitude about remaking my order, then he said "Do you just want me to take the croutons out of it or do you wanna pick em out?" I told him "I would like a new salad made please." My soup was only a little less than half full, I asked about my soup, he said "That's all we have left of that, do you want a differen soup?" He then said I didn't order an extra baguette, I said, "Yes I did, she maybe didn't add it to my order but if call her over here she can tell you that I did" he said well you didn't pay for it, now I'm MAD, I said can you call her over here, then I will pay for it after she tells you I did order it. He said " I'll just put it in there this time" I went back and paid for the extra baguette, she had to have someone show her where the correct button was for that. It ended up being a 42 minute ordeal before I left...

DO NOT ORDER CATERING OR DELIVERY FROM HERE. It was over thirty minutes past delivery time (7:00am) when we had to reach out to check on what had happened to our missing order. To the store's credit, they did end up picking up the phone on the first attempted call. But the assistant manager admitted that despite the issue being Door Dash not sending over a driver, Panera DID NOT EVEN BOTHER CALLING US TO LET US KNOW THAT THERE WAS EVEN AN ISSUE. The assistant manager said that they couldn't leave to deliver it themselves due to understaffing, so they couldn't leave the store alone. I let the assistant manager know that we would send someone to pick up the order since we needed the food for an event. They confirmed that that would be fine since the food was ready to go, but when our person arrived, the DOORS WERE ALL LOCKED, AND IT WAS AFTER 7:45AM ON A MONDAY. YOUR HOURS ONLINE SAY THIS STORE IS OPEN AT 6:00AM. Even after the food was picked up, we never received an apology, a refund or compensation for the lost time, the added labor on our end, the cold food, and the completely missed scheduled delivery. I ordered a large macaroni and cheese in a large broccoli and cheese soup, the lady proceeds to ask me if I wanted chips, bread, or apple slices with the macaroni and cheese and then again the same on the broccoli cheese soup. To me that's making it sound like it's included but little did I know she charged me extra for both the measly piece of torn bread thrown in the bottom of the bag without being wrapped up, and for the tiny bag of chips as well. So for a macaroni and cheese and a bowl of broccoli cheese soup it was over $20 with tax. I went and viewed their menu online at that location and my total should have been like $15.00. What a scam she mentioned nothing about it being extra she acted like it was included with the soup and the macaroni. I can't believe I paid over $20 for a bowl of broccoli and cheese soup and a bowl of macaroni and cheese. This place is a joke I will never be returning!
