3 of us went in and got a table and ordered an order of Calamari and a 12 inch "Garbage Truck" pizza that 1 friend recommended. We were somewhat underdressed for as classy as the place is, but nobody gave us any trouble. Everyone that works here is very nice and professional. I'm always a little nervous trying new pizza places... worried that there will be too much sauce, not enough toppings, etc, but sweet mother of pearl. Everything about this pizza was 100% on point. The thin crust was the absolute perfect consistency, the cheese was the perfect flavor, and the toppings... if they had put anymore meat on this thing than they did, it would be falling off from lack of "adhesive" aka cheese to hold onto it.
They're oven burns real wood logs! I think that's where the amazing flavor comes from! It's not burning gas, or wood "chips", or anything cheap and easy like that. There's literally a stack of logs next to the oven, and they're added regularly to maintain a 600 degree oven temp!
They rate the 12 inch pizza to serve 2, but the Garbage Truck has so much freakin meat on it that it filled all 3 of us up no problem at all.
This is not the cheapest pizza in town, but if you want the best, it is totally worth the extra cost. Based on the other patrons who were there, I would say a polo and nice jeans are the correct attire for dining in here. After I get some things in my life straightened out and have some money, I will be going and eating here again for sure.
I seriously cannot remember the last time I had a pizza this good, and can say from a position of authority, that you will absolutely love it. I would recommend the Garbage Truck if you like meat. You will walk out with every taste bud in your mouth and every muscle in your belly satisfied to the brim.
It's been a pleasure to share with you my experience at this top notch bistro, and I hope you will go and try it for...
Read moreWe have loved Ricco‘s in the past. It has been our cold weather cozy place to enjoy. Last night we went there on a summer’s evening to celebrate a special occasion. We told the hostess we wanted to sit on the patio. She said it was full. Nothing else and looked away. OK, we get it. We said we’d sit inside. She also said the dining room was full. Nothing else. OK, we get it. May we get on a waitlist? Sure. We were the first ones on the waitlist. We sat waiting to be called. We saw a couple get up from the patio and leave. The couple said to us “go grab that table before somebody gets it!” We laughed and went up to the hostess as we knew we were first in line on the waitlist. We were excited to start our celebration. She told us there had been a change. We weren’t going to get the table. A table that had already been seated, already had menus and silverware, and had already been given their waters and met their server, had decided they wanted that table now instead, and she was going to give it to them. What? She didn’t apologize, she didn’t smile, she didn’t offer us a drink, she just turned around and walked off. She didn’t do anything other than give our table away. I have never seen anything like that. Someone who already had a table just decided they didn’t want it and the hostess just gave it to them when we’d been waiting and told we were first in line. They had been sitting closer to the door. If they didn’t want that table , they should have declined it and waited. We wanted a table with a little privacy for our celebration. None. We ended up eating at the bar. While the bartender was great, it was a huge disappointment to the night we were looking so forward to. With Service like that, and an attitude like that, I don’t know that we’ll go back. So...
Read moreA Delightful Evening at the Best Italian Restaurant
Last night, I had the pleasure of dining at a charming Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening out.
The drinks were excellent and generously sized, setting a wonderful tone for the meal. We started with the woodfired margherita pizza, which was simply delicious. The crust was perfectly crisp, and the flavors were well-balanced. The garlic bread and bruschetta were also very tasty, making for a perfect start to our meal.
For the main course, we ordered baked ravioli with chicken, chicken Alfredo pasta, and a portobello mushroom sandwich. Each dish was a delight, rich in flavor and cooked to perfection. The baked ravioli was creamy and satisfying, the Alfredo pasta was indulgent, and the portobello mushroom sandwich was savory and unique.
Despite being quite full, we couldn't resist trying the Tiramisu cake for dessert. It turned out to be the highlight of our dinner. The cake was incredibly light and melted in our mouths. It was so good that we ordered another one right away!
Our waitress, whose name we unfortunately didn't catch, was phenomenal. She explained everything to us in detail, accommodated our customization requests, and was very friendly and helpful throughout the evening.
Overall, this Italian restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way. From the delicious food to the exceptional service, it was a memorable dining experience that I...
