Bolay Fresh Bold Kitchen - Oviedo — Restaurant in Oviedo

The food was fresh and good, but the reason I’m only giving this place 2 stars is because of the horrendous customer service. I went today (11/25) at approximately 7:15. I asked the girl serving the bases what people normally get (since I’ve never been) and she said “I don’t know people get a mix of everything” like oh thanks for the help? She was very rude the whole time and seemed annoyed that I asked for a sample. The girls serving the proteins and vegetables were also rude and made me feel uncomfortable and rushed when there wasn’t even a line behind me. Even the manager of the place was not polite at all. The manager was the one to serve my friend the protein, and when she asked her what kinds of proteins there were she points at the list and says “they’re right there” in a rude tone. The whole time they were making my bowl I felt uncomfortable and unwanted as a customer. I’m shocked that a new place would have such bad customer service. If you want similar food with great customer service I recommend Fresh Kitchen. I would have came back here because the food was good but the horrible customer service left a bad taste...

Came across Bolay while searching for some vegetarian friendly eatery. It was nice we found Bolay as it had lots of vegetarian and vegan options to choose from. I liked the ambience. Not very big, not suffocating, sufficient sitting area. It had both dine in and out options. I tried the regular bols with jasmine rice as base, tuscan zucchini and ginger broccoli as veggies, miso glazed tofu as protein and chimichurri tomatoes as an additional side. The serving proportion was good for one person. There is also an option for a large bol (bowl) for someone who has a large appetite. Very fulfilling and satisfying. The taste was nice. They also had a lots of choices over drinks. Fountain drinks, iced teas, freshly brewed teas. I tried the Hibiscus raspberry brewed tea. Initially it didn't taste good without sugar, after adding sugar it tasted great. A sweet, little, pocket friendly restaurant. Not very far from UCF, just 10 min drive. Last but not the least, the strawberry chia seeds pudding was delicious. Liked it very much! My stomach went home...

Never Again — Raw Steak & Clueless Staff

Ordered a steak bowl to go while dining in, and the confusion started immediately. I said “white rice” and the employee stared blankly, asking if that was a “premium bowl.” Really? You work here. I rephrased to “jasmine rice” and she finally got it.

Then came the steak — brought out raw from the back, yet she prioritized three online orders before even asking me if “the color was okay.” I said yes, assuming they wouldn’t serve me if it wasn’t cooked enough. My mistake. It was raw and inedible. After tasting my bowl, I asked for a side of more well-done steak instead, she told me I’d have to pay more — because I already accepted the old steak. It’s not like I could have heated it up at home as I was dining in with a friend.

For a few more dollars, I could’ve had an actual medium rare steak at Outback that would have not been raw. Horrible service, undercooked food, and zero accountability. I’ll never...
