So, my friends and I have a little group where we have been reviewing the new restaurants in Oviedo for years now. I can honestly say this was one of my favorites. Let me start by saying it doesn't take much pressure to talk us into having a glass of wine with our meals. We didn’t expect it to even be an option with pizza, though! We loved that they have a very nice selection of wines and our waiter was very knowledgable about his wines, as we are not as familiar with Italian wines. He was attentive throughout the meal, which felt much more like the service you would get at Maggiano’s than a local pizzeria. The atmosphere is relatively casual, but the food is nothing short of spectacular. From the burrata to the pizza to the calzones to the NUTTELLA AND BANANA DESSERT PIZZA, it we found each course more impressive than the last. Clearly, I satisfied my sweet tooth with that dessert pizza. The margherita pizza was fresh with large chunks of fresh mozzarella, large basil leaves, and a flavorful sauce. We love that there is no sugar in the crust or the pizza. Just pure, natural pizza flavor. The burrata had what they called stracciatella cheese on it. I call it a cheese bomb. Ridiculously good. It comes with spring mix and their house olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and a side of pizza dough/bread that was thin and chewy like fresh pita. We didn’t try the star pizza, but we will be trying it when we go back because seeing it delivered to other tables gave us food envy. The Nutella/banana pizza was amazing. I secretly wish I had made that my meal. You’ll find the rest of our reactions on Facebook at Lunch Ladies of Oviedo. This place gets 5...
Read moreWe had an absolutely wonderful experience during our first time here (spoiler alert, there will be many more!!). When we first walked in we were greeted by two of the staff and promptly seated at a table inside. The energy in the restaurant is bright and lively! The music was fun and the staff seemed happy to be there.
Our waitress, Brenda, was very attentive (as was the rest of the staff! Always clearing our plates and napkins right away, asking how the food was, etc.). She told us the story behind the founder and suggested a couple options since it was our first time there. We ordered the Star Luca and the Alessandra Jalapeño. Both pizzas were absolutely delicious. The spicy olive oil they paired with our pizzas was the perfect amount of spice and paired well with the pizzas. Their dough is light, making it easy to eat more (yay!). I paired my dinner with their light beer (I forget the name, but it was really good!). When they delivered our Alessandra pizza they mentioned not cutting it correctly and that they’d make us another one - that was not necessary but super nice of them! They insisted saying they had to keep up with their standards - we did not mind eating more!
Overall, we loved it here 5/5 and will be back again to try their coffee pizza and...
Read moreLike others have said had high expectations based on price and reviews. We dined in and ordered 2 pizzas. We got the 1st, then the 2nd didn't arrive to our table for maybe another 15m+. We were not planning on sharing each other's pizzas we got our own as they are personal size. The 1st was a meat lovers which barely had any meat whatsoever, still good but not $20 good. We finished it and sat empty waiting for the next to come out which was one of the star pizzas. It is a very photogenic pizza lol. We were not impressed with the ricotta but mainly didn't like how our own personal pizzas had such a major gap in time. I have food allergies so I was lucky to be able to share the 1st pizza but otherwise ide be sitting empty waiting while other guests orders were coming up before ours. Staff didn't approach us much which is honestly fine. The crust i knew was insanely paper thin which was also fine by me. But yes the pizzas are $$ for personal size very thin crust. As far as quality of ingredients yes they do...
